In the springtime we often get sustained winds of 30-40MPH, with gusts up to 70MPH. How well will this plastic mount standup? Should I get a metal wall mount to put that mast into?
It sounds like you’re saying my clever teens can bypass the pause by using an app to change their device identity? I think they are doing that because I will pause their cell phone and a little while later I check the Starlink app and their is another device listed that isn’t paused🤦♀️ Just trying to get them to get a good nights sleep 🤷♀️

Peplink makes premium gear but the price is accordingly high. My little Beryl router, which only pulls a few watts in my RV and works fine with my Starlink Gen 2, can also work with a tethered cell phone. So this is a much less expensive option. As is a cell phone with the hotspot on. And if that doesn't work, there is always the PdaNet app which has been amazing for years.
Yep! This unit can combine up to 3 WAN connections (you can use one LAN as virtual WAN), plus cellular. Virtually any configuration you can think of can be done.

Direct to cell will be just basic text messaging for at least the first year. Starlink and T-Mobile plan to slowly add more bandwidth as more DTC satellites are launched. They will add voice call support in 2026, with slow data speeds after that. The Mini, on the other hand, is available now and will have much higher data performance compared to using DTC. They are for two very different use cases.
What a damn pain... Long story, but our whole Starlink system is located 100m from our house in the middle of a paddock. I don't want to be running out whenever I need to check something. Not to mention I almost never know where my phone is.

@@StarlinkHardware thank you. One more question if you don’t mind. About how high up on a 1.25 inch pole can you extent before sway becomes an issue? I’m looking at a forked bracket y shaped and installed about 2 foot below the eave. Then using a fastener near the top of the roof to secure the pole and using two 8 foot poles to get high enough to top the evergreens around our house. I’m pretty sure it will not sway but looking for input. If there’s a better way to get this kind of elevation I’m missing. I’m open. My equipment still hasn’t shipped
We have the Gen 3 system worked great for about 5 months then about weeks ago it just stopped working. Have replaced the entire setup still wont connect. Support is no help a lot of money for nothing
Does Starlink offer a wall mount that will accommodate a wide roof eave? Mine is about 30 inches. The fascia board is partially obscured by the rain gutters, so if I must use the fascia board, there will need to be an additional piece of wood to provide a base for the mounting bracket.
My issue with Starlink is my ping to Starlink is Atlanta GA. I am in NC. I CANT use any streaming services to get my local football. All I get is ATLANTA football. I’ve tried Fobu, RU-vid tv, directv streaming and Hulu. All the “locals” is Atlanta. How can I make this work?
Thank you so much for this video! I'm a new Starlink customer. I will use my Starlink on another continent for a vacation. One question I have: Is Mobile Priority available immediately, once I select the toggle to turn it on and then I turn it off at the end of the vacation to stop the Mobile Priority data usage?
My husband is worried about cable protection since it just runs down the roof. 🤷♀️. Any experience with how long the cables last? Do they wear down from sun, rain, snow and ice exposure?
I'm using my Starlink at a partially obstructed site for the first time and it's TERRIBLE. The obstructions aren't trivial but I would have thought it would work a lot better than this! I mean MOST of the sky in the Northern view IS CLEAR??!!! I'm amazed how much of the time I have to wait, re-click, re-click, refresh, refresh and refresh to get a web page up, or open a link. Keep launching Starlinks Elon, this SUCKS. Thankfully this is not a long term home for me.
