He is adding some context that these verses don't support. We know who God chose, though. God loved the world and gave his only son the whomever believes. THAT is who God chose. Every one of us. Accept salvation. Jesus is the way.
The essence of the difference in schools of thought on issues of salvation, a.k.a. soteriology, is "monergism" versus "synergism". Monergism is the view that God alone effects our salvation. We hear the gospel and respond positively ONLY if the Holy Spirit first changes our hearts and natures from one of spiritual deadness to one of spiritual life. Then, having been given a new heart and new eyes with which to see, we see God's beauty as it really is and we willingly and freely and joyfully respond to the gospel and choose to run to it! Synergism is the view that God works together with us in some way to effect salvation. In this view, the death of Christ actually accomplished nothing but only made salvation possible. It is effectual only if the person exercises their autonomous and unaided (by the Holy Spirit) free will.

And from that moment, all sin is wiped away; for "though your sins may be as scarlet, they will be as white as snow, ...." - Isaiah 1:18 It is impossible to live a righteous life that counts beyond the grave and death, on our own, without JESUS CHRIST/MESSIAH! HE IS GOD'S ONE and ONLY SON, WHO Fulfilled the entire Law! Our own righteousness is as filthy rags. Yet, "through CHRIST/MESSIAH we can do all things." For "with GOD, nothing is impossible!" Everything we do through JESUS CHRIST/MESSIAH [CHRIST and MESSIAH Are the Same!], as we seek to do the will of our FATHER in Heaven through Relationship with our LORD JESUS CHRIST/ MESSIAH and the HOLY SPIRIT, in the flow of GOD's Love, will store up treasures in Heaven, GOD'S Kingdom of Love! The correct answer in the same sex marriage debate is that the government doesn’t deserve to be involved in marriage at all. If we view marriage as simply a financial relationship in concert with the government then there is no reason same sex couples shouldn’t be awarded that right as well
There's only one Author of the Bible, but there were at approx 40 Secretaries used, to write the books & letters,over a 1600 yr period. Just like when the Boss of a company, gets different secretaries from his offices, to take down his words & send those letters to different companies...When each letter is received, it is accepted that it's from from the Boss, not the Secretary.
@@joeythebushkangaroo1 it was not written word for word by god. Therefor it had to have been summed up by people. Those people would have had to assume what god meant. Even if they were wrong, something needed to be stated. The bible was adjusted through the years meaning things were changed without the word of god nor having him to approve those changes. Going off a feeling of "god told me in an awakening" is about as trustworthy as hearing "I'm an oil prince, send me money so I can unlock my bank and transfer you millions". I'm not knocking people that enjoy reading and living by the bible as that is their choice and I applaud them for their decision. But I don't understand pushing an agenda on others for not believing a book that was written by anonymous individuals that needed to add filler and call it 100% truth.
