I bought one and have been beating it up, the programming software is worse than the radio. It is not 999 channels, it has none of the options advertised and is falling short of my expectations. I was going to post a video soon too.
I have both that HD760 and the screenless version HD765. The problem we encountered with both is that you can NOT change the APN settings. So when using a SIM card that is sometimes a problem.
So many, many, many sad, sad, very sad hams. Mine came with a manual the size of a stamp and so smudged it's impossible to read. If you got a manual you can read, feel lucky. Some of these guys need a binky and a hug. Sad hams.....they're real. They feel so big on here. As you were sad hams.
Is there a modified firmware available that opens up receive to 25 to 999 MHz ? I know the Boefeng and the clones of them have the open source firmware that gives you full transmit and receive from 25 to 999 MHz. Not sure if this has the same chip as those

I just received one and found that it can also receive the 800 MHz band from 840-999MHz with about -92 dBm on 840MHz with the squelch set to Zero and -65 dBm on Freq 999.000 with squelch set to Zero, My testing below with a HP 8924C service monitor Receive -123 dBm on 146.000 /-124 dBm 440.000 MHz TX: 440.000MHz RF low power output 3Watt 6watts on high TX:146.000MHz RF low power output 2.89 watts high 6 watts. If any one knows where to order a extra battery pack or a battery charging dock for this Radio please post the info in the comments here. W0TRJ
Saw one of these in a ham group, is it worth the $100ish price for a analog HT? ive got a few yaesus in that price range but id be curious about picking one of these up just to play with..
Of Course, It's a direct entry no need for any computers to program the HT. like a baofeng. I Ordered Mine on Ebay for 100 bucks. no charging dock. charges on a usb-c cable. Easy to program.
Hello, i have this radio but when the screen is off, the PTT doesn't work, do you know if there is a setting that changes this? It's really annoying having to make sure that the screen is on every single time i want to use it. In addition to that, i have noticed that whenever i want to change the volume and someone is transmitting, it is really slow and tends to crash zello a whole lot.
