Selection of video's in some way connected to Butlersbridge, Cavan and surrounding areas. No defined plan for this channel, it will remain non-monetized, Just a hobby. As old media is fading and getting lost it is better to upload it here asap. So RU-vid will just act as a dumping archive area of old videos of the region, and the odd video of personal interest, be it fishing, foraging, music and others. There will be some videos converted from VHS or other and I may be in violation of certain copyright. Hope the original copyright owners see no mal-intention here. This is just to highlight such a video is in existence, that someone locally might otherwise be unaware of. Thus a far better higher quality version might exist for purchase from the original copyright owner.
Well that was interesting for sure. I don't know how I feel about all this ai. Having said that, listening to the chat it was almost like talking to another person. Surreal. If someone was all alone it would certainly be good company.
Such a serene river and place. I'm looking forward to enjoying it next week, on my way to the mighty Shannon river via the Waterway canal. The endless river to the sea, can't wait!
You dont get 'those' people in rural areas as much even now, so your point is null and just stinks. Also to come across a video like this and come to the 'most interesting thing' being not as many immigrants highlights how much you've been duped by the mainstream media, unless you dont view the Dailymail as mainstream seeing as thats what you're parroting
You'll find McManuses scattered throughout the county. There's even a McManus Pharmacy in Belturbet, so you know the name is well-established in the area. Perhaps you could try searching for local genealogy groups or historical societies in Cavan. They might be able to point you in the right direction."
Heading back that general way tomorrow or Monday, want to use the drone to capture a few old abondoned family homesteads and put them as a backdrop to a poem "The homes of grousehall" Hopfully something nice will come from the trip. Tks for subscribing.
Super song Gerry about our beloved Frank. He was one of the main characters in our town. Spring sprong, Mickey Mackey, the whistler McGovern, Paddy Martin, oh my!
@irishlocksmith twas just the same chatgpt4 app free plan, but instead of typing into it there was a handsfree option. Also I put in some default parameters just prior to loading, just so it knows about you and create a kinda profile. I did actaully pay for the pro version for a year but for some reason am still stuck on the free plan. So there are limits. Very quickly it will reach a rate limit and stop per day.
Hey Padraic, great channel. I love the content. Great preservation of local history and heritage. I'd love to take a few mini PC's off your hands and have some great projects for them. I have plans to expand my Proxmox mini PC into a cluster of three to ensure that if one goes down, the services remain. My media server allows me to share and watch content with my daughters and their grandparents, as we don't all live in close proximity. There's also a home automation project that I am working on for my parents that would allow me to keep an eye on them and make life a bit easier. I also have a family tree project with open source software that these would be perfect for. Please keep sharing and I really enjoyed the ChatGPT duet.
I'd say no, a school would prefer something working out of the box, internet ready to go. These are best suited for hobbists, makers, techies that have some home projects in mind. Regardless most of them are gone. There was fast and keen interest in them.
Great lyrics which tells the story of the life and times of Frank during his days in Belturbet, i have many memories of Frank doing the tumble and swallowing the cigarette butt, what a rare Character he was, and great performance by Mr Ai, who i believe will be on tour in the not too distant future, watch this space 🤠
why the merit for Frank Rice? lord rest him and all that. he had it hard , like many many others of his time. 1000`s of great old character's had more interesting things to say,
