Don't worry, it sounded completely normal. The aftermarket key we were cutting was not actually steel. The OEM steel keys are very expensive and hard to get our hands on right now, actually. But Chris Lira DID cut a steel key with the standard cutter before and it all went smoothly.
Great machine for this type of jobs I recently went to key an entire apartment complex and had to cut new masters submasters and change keys because the originals were worned out. This machine and the cigarette power cord saved me a long trip back to the shop. The sc4 and sc1 keys I made with it worked perfectly fine 👍
When I cut b102 it has me put on 4th line. Does that mean issue is resolved? Because I am trying to cut a gen 1 Cadillac cts 2006 that uses b102 but the xhorse machine doesn't show gen 1 cts. So I have to pick b106 key manually. The key is working not sure if I have wrong code or if it's this issue.
I've been trying to cut a hu101 key on the xhorse mini plus2 and it fails to decode key it goes between the cuts looking for the cuts, so I adjusted the wear on tip until I was able to get it to read the key properly. But when I cut the key it comes out in a more square shape and not a smooth bitting shape and it doesn't work I tried 6 times with different keys and still can't get one copy done on the hu101. Any suggestions. Oh even when I use a key code it does not work either. But other keys are all good just the hu101. Thanks for any suggestions.
Was wondering someone would come out with this. I myself just got a setup for my im608. Tired of the plastic box. I keep my lishis in the plastic holders that uhs sells. (Aks might too) but best setup for lishi period.
Aren't you guys gonna open the comments section on Black Widow key cutter videos? It would be helpful to discuss the tips & problems especially I'm already using the machine and encountered a small problem already.
I would use it to carry the Lishis and other decoders. Notepads and pens, lubricant spray cleaner with some blank keys to clean the lock before decoding.
I've honestly not run into this problem with the Condor Mini yet. I've cut a few B102 keys, the machine calibrates and cuts the key like a gem even with it not being all the way to the line they want it at. If anything, stick to B96 keys or one of the other longer variant keys and you'll be fine. You might need to level the shoulder of the B96P keys to work some ignitions though.
