the radiance's theme instantly revived my silksong craving, thinking about how deeply in love I am with hollow knight and how I really hope silksong's final boss could ever reach this level of epicness
One thing I’ve just noticed listening to these songs side by side, is that there is another song that should be here: pure vessel. One thing I noticed is that some of hollow knight’s store is told through music, specifically boss themes. Pure vessel shows the hollow knight’s fighting prowess. The agility combined with the strength of its attacks make it a formidable foe. This is played in a minor key to show the darkness of void. Next is the radiance. The theme allows us to see just how powerful a god it really is, just like the fight itself. The music is played in a major key (I believe) showing the light of the infection the radiance wished upon hallownest. Finally: Sealed Vessel. This theme is a work of art with storytelling. It displays a combination of both the Radiance’s theme, and the Pure Vessel’s. The hollow knight still has a mind to think, and its soul is still fighting. Both stages of the fight show the internal struggle happening within the hollow knight itself. The hollow knight is fighting back, and the radiance is scared. The hollow knight recognizes this fear, it was made to be a fighting machine, and recognizes weakness. The hollow knight knows the radiance combined with it is extremely powerful, and uses the last of its strength to bind the radiance one more time to let the knight finish the job. It’s extremely well thought out and I respect Christopher Larkin for this work of art.
Radience:You can not destroy me! I am the light incarnate! And you will die and serve me! "No. I cant destroy you. We can however." The knight rose,its husk gone. The dream nail held in its shade. "There is no light here." The radience unleashed a volley of blazing light,yet did nothing aganst the hundreds of souls lost in shadow who joined the knight,as theses souls roared in unison. "ONLY THE VOID." The souls of the dammed who were made hollow by the king would drown the radience in there umbral fury. Milenia of suffering for what there ancestors did. Milenia of corruption. There tormentor would die,they will see to it her godly soul snuffed out and devoured in retribution. Aboveground,the sun at last set...and dusk came. The knight,taking the form he had as he was mortal looked around. It was done. There would be much to do. But there tormentor was no more. Devoured and her power stolen. Light and shadow within this new god creature. Hollow knight ending:Avenger of the dammed. How to get the ending -get the shade cloak and dream nail -visit the kings ruins. -subdue the hollow knight though the dream nail. Destroy the Radience with the dream nail.

wtf why does sealed vessel make me cry, like literally the moment he started stabbing himself bro why did that hit so fucking hard poor hk he didnt deserve such a cruel fate moral of the story - screw the radiance (also yes i know the vessels technically have no gender im just lazy)
They had free will only to discover there were more hardships in the disparity. So they longed for the days everyone was equal under the radiance. But then they long for freedom again. These aren’t bugs, these are humans.
It just sounds like you put the songs together and didnt like actually combine them in one, mainly cuz of the cut in the middle between radiance and broken vessel themes, where from sad, quiet, slow and ending music it turns into intimidating, loud, fast and beginning music. It too obviously sounds like two different tracks
Sealed vessel 2 just overwhelms me with power I dont know what it is. Maybe it was my experience with the path of pain because originally it sounded like a song of sadness but overtime to me became a song of Triumph.
How this inspired my writing 0:00 the buildup 0:45 an unwinnable battle begins 2:18 the hero dies(?) 3:17 the darkness begins overtaking them 4:08 the hero seems to have lost, being pulled into the darkness 4:29 light shines from abyss. The hero returns 4:33 round two. 6:45 the antagonist is beaten
