Freedom Fishing is my way of sharing my fishing experiences. I have been fishing all of my life and consider myself a “decent” fisherman. I fish in St. Augustine Florida most of the time with some occasional bass fishing in local ponds and the St. John’s River. We have a beautiful fishery in North Florida. I do mostly in shore fishing for Trout, Redfish, Flounder etc. I will eventually start doing some off shore fishing in the near future.
My wife and I have a Freedom Boat Club membership and love being on the water. The name of the channel is three fold 1. Where the spirit of the Lord is there is Freedom 2. How my wife and I feel when on the water “Free” 3. We love our Freedom Boat Club membership.
This will be a friendly family channel as I live by the Golden Rule to “treat others how I want to be treated”, Matthew 7:12.
I hope you enjoy the channel thanks for tuning in!
Freedom Boat Club is awesome. 4 locations in Jax/St Augustine area to use. Was out fishing this morning. Get to the marina and boat is ready to go and then when you come back in just hop off and walk to your car to drive home.
Hi Greg, I was just in David’s bait shop today getting some bait and even asked about you and how you were doing. When we got home today from fishing I saw you had a new video and what a nice surprise when I saw my name come up on the spinning wheel. We go to St. Augustine a couple times a week, so I can stop by the bait shop and talk to David. Thank you for selecting me and can’t wait for the fishing trip. Bob Delp
Awesome Bob! I hope to go with you on your guided trip. Let me know the next time you will be stopping by SAPS and I will try to meet you there to film a clip for a video and try to schedule a day we can both go. Who will you be taking with you?
Honestly I would go to Jax Pier with kids and family. Easy to fish from, plenty of people to help and you can catch some decent fish. Hope this helps. Tight lines
North of Comanche cove about a mile on East side. Easy to spot as there is a large cinder block building on it with no home. No construction has happened in years. Good luck!
@@FreedomFishingStAugustine nah, that camera view was real life. Every fisherman who’s fished around a bridge understood what was happening man 😅 Great catch
Thanks for showing us lol atleast we got to see it for an split second In swansboro nc in the inlets I was catching over a foot and a half Puppy drums Not much for eating but Hella funn to real in from the inlet banks And also I was plugging for Spannish Mackerals with white gotcha plugs was working the best and also chrome ones worked i caught a few blue why i.wad plugging for the mackeral We allways Fish for the spannish at the very end of the Pier and they will start running at 630am as soon as the sun breaks the.horizon.They fish for King Mackeral out their them.guys are addholes u kno they got the anchor line for weight and a baloon and then.the other line with the Bait i didnt pay much attension because Fishing spannish is.just like bass fishing except your.hangin off the end of the pier with your rod upside down realing And jerking your pole down for every reel rotation which makes the plug zig zig thru.the water which mkes the sun reflect off the Plug and the spannish will allmost jerk your pole out your hand its so.awesome Their a strong species of fish I caught my first spannish off a plug when i was 12or13 best experience
Keep the great content cumming Greg! Going to be at Freedom Boat Club tonight for a chamber of commerce event. Not sure if you're going out on one of your famous after work quick fishing trips tonight or not? If you are and you're there around 4:45 I'll stop by and say a quick hello before you head out. Thanks again for all your help in promoting the antique tackle show earlier this year! It was a real pleasure meeting you and talking with you. Ed is still blushing...
Loving your content. Not new to boating but new to st.aug…what type of anchor do you recommend? Mix of jetty fishing and creeks, maybe 9 mile. Leaning toward jettie anchor.
Thanks! The boats at Freedom boat club are “Fluke” anchors and work well for me in all situations. Here is a link to one below. Hi my grandmother lives locally on st Augustine over on Vilano island I was wondering if you could take me fishing some time I saw you when I was coming back from a boat trip
Freedom Boat Club use to have power poles on their bay boats but they kept breaking and had to be repaired all the time, so they just took them off and got rid of them.
Looks like you are just using a jig head with no extra weight to get it to the bottom? I fish that bridge often as well and use a Carolina rig with 3oz weight....thoughts? Thanks
