Wait. That backsplash and countertop combination was an intentional choice - or you’ll be swapping one out so it isn’t clashing so glaringly?

TLDR: I took the restrictor out, decided I didn't like it, put it back in, and it worked as it should. (maybe I lost the o-ring like he's suggesting) a) restrictor out, warm pressure is double hot or cold alone, which bothers me. hence, adjusting it at the valves doesn't really work great. b) after re-assembling and running without the restrictor, I put it back in, and to my surprise, it was working as it should have been out of the box. enough flow, not a trickle, but you won't get the whole bathroom wet washing your hands. I thought people were exaggerating about this and just complaining about water regulations. My brand new faucet was literally a strong trickle, though. It was definitely not running at the intended gpm of the faucet. I have a different brand with the same GPM that is a perfect amount of water for a bathroom sink. Anyway, somehow, that did the trick for me. hope this helps. :-) Good luck!

Like the video, I found removing the aerator plus washer to produce “too violent” pressure. The “best” pressure comes from removing the entire aerator, washer and all, AND the filter at the end of the faucet. Contrary to what you’d think, the filter makes the water MORE violent. I removed the filter and the pressure is soft and able to be controlled from high to low flow. The Kohler website provides instructions for removing the filter: need a tiny hex wrench to loosen the bolt in back and a flat head screwdriver to pry out the filter. Voila!

Yes I did that but it kinda loses that ribbon effect and I didn't like it , but that's a good point , funny that after buying brand new faucet we still need to adjust all that little stuff.

Not sure where this job was but isn’t the flow restrictor meant to meet California water guidelines? On another note, what is the back splash tile u have. Do u know the model and name. It looks nice

You may be right , I just didn't like the flow, I like water sense on toilets but this faucet was just dripping water. I have a link to floor and decor , thats where i got the tile from in Illinois www.flooranddecor.com/search?q=glass%20moseic

For those of us not in water saving states it’s a nuisance.

I'm sure you meant a Montero, not a Pajero as those were not available in the US, unless you've imported a 25-year-old right-hand drive specimen. From the body work it looks like a 1999-2006 generation Montero. I think the reason they had to rename Pajero for Montero in Americas because Pajero is an offensive word (masturbator) in Spanish. True story! It would be cool to import a diesel JDM Pajero though as long as you're ok with RHD (which really isnt that bad, just takes some getting used to).
