I wish to retire like these guys in your 70s , having your friends over at the hanger or garage play games, drink, bbq , jokes all around and get to build an airplane in 2 years. Then fly it over the Atlantic or east to west coast run then sell it for a profit and then repeat it again. Musch much fun this way and you live longer and stay healthy.
i not understand how stupuid some peoples have and waste lot money than idiot. 70-170K$ waste this, and lot time. because 20-30K can buy ready to fly many year and no need repair or made anythink. not waste tiem and moneyy lot, and can fly not build.
Nice, but if you had stopped at each tricky process that scares people and explain the procedure than zipped thru after the 1st example. Such as smoothing welded joints, seaming, gluing fabric over corners, ironing seams and total panels, saturating fabric, painting, instrument panel.
I like the concept but as a sailor, I can tell you PVC will not gold much load. It ikely won't help hold or stabilize the RV. However, it may help with small items like a dinner tent.
I need a bigger damn garage... I got enough for the fuselage to go in there and do that work but no way can i mount the wings ... even one at a time no chance ... -_-
It doesn't need to be that strong. The frame does; the fabric used for wrapping is synthetic, and is certified for aircraft covering. It is popular with "bush planes" (planes that often land/take off away from a runway), because they are easy to repair if the fabric is torn or damaged.
10-15 years ago I built a backyard playground, took me a whole summer... How you build an airplane in your garage is totally unimaginable, even if, they provide all the information, and support one may need, .. It's simply not possible. One of those (and of many things), that I see it, but I don't believe it...
How someone does a project like this, is unfathomable (for me). My father and grandfather built a summer lake house, brick, cement, three-levels in the 60's, in front of my eyes as a child, ... I don't get it. I can't even change a bulb... Respect...
