I noticed that the actual concept of Critical Theory seems to be pretty interesting and might make a contribution to society - but all famous forms of Critical Theory today derailed into socialism an deranged egalitarianism.
Moderator of philosophyball here This dude used icons for philosophies from Polcompball, Polcompball Anarchy and Philosophyball. The problem is: he used them completely wrong: Existentialism here is some random self insert ideology from polcompball anarchy Absurdism here is Aestheticism Nihilism here is American Liberalism Stoicism here is Anarcho-Individualism Virtue Ethics is Atheism Consequentliism is Collectivism Deontology is Darwinism Utilitarianism is icon for Jacque Derrida Rationalism is fucking Environmentalism Empiricism is Foundationalism Constructionism is Liberal Hawks Skepticism is Gold Standard Critical Theory is…i dunno actually, but definitely not it Idealism here is Humanism And Realism here is Human Nationalism
You could call it that. It's MBTI, which was based off Jung's personality archetypes. It's way too generalized to be used widely, though I find it can be useful for writing characters.
If you study the original theory, it could be useful for yourself, to know your strenghts and your weaknesses, and mature your functions in a better healthy way
I was born in 1992. I enjoy so much music, regardless of the decade or era. I love history and enjoy the things going on here. I don't care about fashion. I used a VHS in my childhood and now I just use a smart TV to watch movies.
@@keirbowie1862 According to this video, you self-define the meaning of existence. I'm not trying to be critical though, so that's why I asked the question. Overall I'd say the problem is that "existentialism" is defined, here, according to Sartre's philosophy. That's a standard approach that you can find all over the internet, but it's inaccurate. For example, Heidegger would have absolutely disagreed with that statement, and, in fact, he did. Heidegger referred to Sartre's philosophy as "trash." Plus, what about Kierkegaard? But anyone who claims they can teach you the "history of ALL ideas" in under 8 mins, certainly must be joking. Same with this video, I don't think it's even possible to read off all the names of "every school of philosophy," let alone explain them all in under 10 minutes, but I don't want to discourage anyone who is trying to make money. They may have a family to feed or something and could use the views. To directly address your question: I think you certainly could define existence that way, but I'm curious if you would feel as though you had gained any knowledge, if someone told you that existence means "being alive, i.e. being present in a physical form in the universe." It might be helpful to consider terms like "species" and "nature" and "time" to work up a definition that helps us decide whether there is any (inherent) meaning to existing. Even Sartre would want us to think about "freedom." Lastly, this video's definition lends itself to Absurdism. For example, does this definition mean that "if you're depressed, then it's your fault," since your existence can mean whatever you want it to mean? Something about that doesn't seem right. Merleau-Ponty famously said that existence is something that we are always already coping with. That seems to suggest a reality to existence. A reality that has meaning. To exist should be something like: to be situated in a way that makes sense to characterize in terms of destiny and fate. But, to say existence is self-defined seems to deny the possibility of destiny or fate. Sartre's ontology is sexy, but it's trash.
1990s bc of the grunge subculture. I am now dedicating myself for this entire year until I receive my MFA, to the making of my satire cartoon film about the early 90s grunge high school teens!
@@ikarugaxx3749 well when it comes to F or T and J or P it is quite in the middle, and honestly I relate to all of these types and I just don't know now which type I am. For example I relate to some parts of INFJ but also to some parts of INTJ, and actually I've never got INTP in my test but the description of this type fits me very well, and now I'm just so confused.
@@EV143 I have 50-50 F and T. What happens is, when I watch MBTI type videos, I relate perfectly to both INFPs and INTPs. In your case I see how it can become 3 (but why not also INFP, if both preferences are 50-50 for you?). To know your core, truer type, consider what you are like in times of stress, duress, or circumstances that demand immediate reaction or action from you. We go back to our core nature, at such times.
Do you prefer Ni Te Fi Se? If you do, then you're an INTJ. If you prefer Ni Fe Ti Se then you're an INFJ. If you use Ti Ne Si Fe then you're an INTP. You can search up what these mean but i'll try to explain what these mean but i might be wrong. Ni means i think being visionary and has great intuition and rathers connecting the dots rather than analyzing from what i understand. Te means caring for facts and efficiency. Fi means caring for morals and the user's own feelings rather than social harmony and others feelings which is Fe. Se means physical stuff. Types that have dominant Ti are very analytical and are very logical, they wont believe something unless it makes sense to them from what i heard. Ne means being very good at brainstorming and focuses on possibilities. Si means experience and past. Also, INTJs are pretty emotional because of their Fi.
@@zafrinrahman7005 thanks for your efforts 😊 I was thinking about it for a long time and actually I am one of the four types INFJ, INFP, INTJ or INTP but I don't know which one suits me the most because I have characteristics of all of them and I really can't decide which one I am ☹️ but I'm going to learn more from this topic because it's quite interesting so hopefully I'll find out which type I am 🙂
Did you really put a picture of Queen Elizabeth to represent the amazing performance of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon at Live Aid.
When it comes to music, I prefer the 90s. During the 90s, some of my favorite genres of music, such as Eurodance, house, techno, and trance, were very popular and became worldwide genres.
Some of these explanations are bs. Absurdism does NOT rejects the notion of creation of personal meaning. And also you failed to mention that nietzche nihilism ultimately encourages this notion.
I’m an ISTJ and also autistic. It kinda sucks as a combo. So much of my life is based around routines, and it’s a nightmare if they’re interrupted. I also like repetition a lot and hate unpredictable stuff, including technology or math which goes against the stereotype and makes it hard for me to find a good paying job. I have very high standards for myself and I berate myself if I fail to meet them. I also struggle to understand what emotions I’m feeling. Socializing is also pretty difficult
I'm an autistic INTP who was mistyped as ISTJ in high school and later INTJ as an adult. Read up on cognitive functions and apparently, my only strong extroverted function is Ne so its unlikely that I'm an IXTJ.
