Shoulder - 42” Bust - 38” Waist - 31” Hips - 42” I am a mum and have a little fupa 😅 and I’ve always been an hourglass and my sister is a pear shaped so she’s bottom-heavy, basically J-Lo’s body shape! When I gain weight, it’s boobs and hips. When it’s my sis, it’s the bottom half! So I think that’s one clear distinction. But I do agree that as mothers especially with hourglass shape, if we still have the definition of measurements in the shoulder, waist and hips ratio, it’s still technically “hourglass.” My issues that I’ve struggled for life is finding the right clothes to wear! I guess reading all through the comments I’m glad I’m not alone! 😂 I wish there was a clothing online shop to cater to this specific shape! 😩
I wish there was more options for curvy women too. I have started buying larger to fit my hips and bust and altering the rest of it to fit me properly.
Jlo is borned pear-shape, if she gained weight she would be pear shape... You are only hourglass shape under certain weight. If your weight becomes too high, then you lose the waist defination needed to be hourglass
i need the augmenting video! I have lost a lot of weight due to chronic illness and I have jeans from size 20 to 12 and I have 0 that fit me ! Even my old highschool jeans! Jeans have always been so hard for me and I am just looking thrift shop bc I lose weight like crazy with my CHF
It's the bone structure, not how much it little fat you have on your body. That's why the measurements are shoulders, waist, hips. These don't change. Breast size fluctuates with weight gain and weight loss. Large breasts may give the illusion of hourglass but once you lose weight the breasts decrease in size.
I have always had a large bust. They might shrink a little, but they don't reduce the way you'd think. Even at a zero, I was DD just with a smaller band size.
There is no such thing as a bottom hourglass. Look at a picture of an hourglass. There is no hourglass that is small at the top. Stop giving people the wrong info. Usually 10 or more inches less.
There is a lot of stuff written about bottom hourglasses. Not everyone fits into a category easily. My hope is help people that don't fall within the traditional body types. If you don't like the content, please feel free to find other videos on RU-vid that suit your limit video of body shapes.
@@Aprilgolightly I will watch whatever I want. The meaning of the word hourglass is not going to change because of this video or any other one. Hourglass-An hourglass (or sandglass, sand timer, or sand clock) is a device used to measure the passage of time. It comprises two glass bulbs connected vertically by a narrow neck that allows a regulated flow of a substance (historically sand) from the upper bulb to the lower one due to gravity. Typically, the upper and lower bulbs are symmetric so that the hourglass will measure the same duration regardless of orientation. hourglass body type-An hourglass body shape is characterized by Wide bust Narrow waist Wide hips The waist is narrower than both the bust and hips
Thank you! I finally found a video that is truly my shape. Usually women are size 4 or plus size. I fell am I in between those two. I already kind of follow. your suggestions thru my own trial and error, it very nice to see someone confirm my thoughts. Love your style!
The bathing suits look fantastic on you there's no doubt about it but you can't actually swim in these can you maybe suggest some bra hacks for bathing suits that are actually for playing in the water because if you got in the pool with some of these super cute tops the water and you jumped around you'd be busting out of it you'd basically be just swimming in the strapless bra
What kind of swimming? I find the halter top type swimsuit to be the most swimmable for me. The color block one I am wearing is also a go to one that I swim and run after children in.
So strapless bras do not hold me up they just hold you in. Now if you're going to wear any type of bra under a bathing suit and it hides well that is great for sunbathing but going in the water actually swimming with bras on especially one with padding is not advised because of the material that it's made out of and the fact that they don't dry quickly like bathing suit material and can cause bacteria to grow - researching so many things right now because I have an hourglass figure and cannot find a bathing suit that fits and also has support they need to make bathing suits that actually have an underwire and come in bra sizes most people that have large breasts may be large people and have a large back but you can't just buy random sizes that are XL or double XL there needs to be a company that makes bathing suit tops that are bra size and do not go on the internet and buy one from a company called bra size bathing suits it's a scam but they need to do more for large breasted women especially if we aren't large all over
The bra that I have does hold me up in the water. I have 2 nude ones - 1 for swimming and 1 for clothes. I have been doing it for the past 5 years with the same bra and no issues with bacteria. I do wash thoroughly after every swim and hang to dry. I hope this helps! I feel your pain on this! I know swimsuits for all does bra sizes too. In the past, they have worked for me, but I did need to have some of them altered to fit perfectly .
Question about the peplum romper: How do you deal with the open back? It looks great from the front but when she turns you see the back gaping open like it’s too big. And since Apple often means large breasts, a multi-hook bra is usually required. How do you wear this? I don’t want to wear a sweater over it during the summer.
Finally, an Apple fashion video that makes sense for most apples. Hate that unbelted dress though-that’s instant pregnancy rumors. But almost all the other tips looked great. Especially loved that wrap tank and puffed sleeve top. Super flattering on her! I have almost the exact same figure so I’m on the lookout for same 😊
Hi. I appreciate your focus on helping every body shape and type feel good about themselves. This is so important! I do want to say though, that when you say celebrities who put time and effort into their physiques don't have "real bodies" this is an unintentional expression of prejudice as though they are not "real" people and therefore don't count. I know several busy moms in my life who are in excellent shape and they're not celebrities nor do they have nannies or extra help. Of course there are times in our lives when we just can't get to it no matter how hard we try, but as a general rule many of the moms I know work on prioritizing their health by watching what they eat, getting lots of water, and for some what works great is getting up about 15 minutes earlier in the morning and starting the workday with 10 jumping jacks, 10 push-ups, 10 crunches, and some stretches then walk and take the stairs as much as possible during the day. Then on the weekend lifting some weights, taking a dance class, going for a hike with the kids, or some other fun physical activity. Also, when you say that celebrities like JLo "live" in the gym in order to get in great shape, from what I understand (recognizing of course that we don't actually know these people) she works out 4 to 5 days a week not including dance rehearsals. Again, I know many fellow busy ladies - from those with little ones to those in their 80's and beyond - in my own life who, like myself also work out about 4 days a week, or for the super busy ones 2 to 3 days a week which is doable even in the busiest of schedules. And if it's difficult to get to a gym, working out at home like I do is very doable. I mention this because I don't want people to get the wrong impression that In order to get in fantastic shape you have to "live" in the gym, or that regular workouts are not possible for most non-celebrities. Not perpetuating the false idea that a regular exercise schedule is virtually impossible for the average mom is not only untrue (which is why doctors, nutritionists, etc. recommend it for all of us) but it's also dangerous and unhealthy since regular workouts are essential for our health, particularly as we get older. Peace and continued success to you!
Hi, Not trying to correct you, I'm genuinely interested in your or other's comments to my question. But I'm highly confused with more fit shaped bodywaist garments, wouldn't that show our belly more? I'm totally stuck as even now I've lost weight in general my belly then shows and I'm still confused to find any outfits. Had a baby etc and I feel I have a visible belly. So very short waist, high bust with very short length from shoulders to bust also makes literally all vnecks too low, too much cleavage no matter what I do as reasonable bust size. I can't win... Hahaha
I feel like you can get tips and ideas of outfits from hourglass and the pear shape. I have been really into ruffle shoulder tops lately with skirts. I think that this would probably look great on you.
