When I was little if the video was on my dad would tell me he was flying her to Thailand and I never understood what he was saying. Then when I got older we were on a road trip I was about 15 and he said it while it was on the radio and we had to pull off the road cuz we were f****** dying
Seen benny trying to explain the song. He was all crying, saying how everyone was wrong. How it's supposed to be about how his young neighbor wanted him but he kept telling her she is too young. Don't know what tf they were thinking with the video.
This is as creepy and paedophilic as Rebecca Black's "Friday" song. The black guy in that music video was also the producer and "talent agent" and had a predilection for young girls.
I always wondered how the idea of a service animal worked when compared to people with phobias. Hypothetically some woman “needs” to bring her dog into the grocery store to calm her “anxiety” but inside that grocery story is two cynophobic people. Whose inconvenience wins out?
My god I was dying at 4:03 “his parole officer” 😂 or at 5:24 “the magic carpet” 😅 or 11:11 “Cumia at the end with the Koolaid and Flintstones jelly jar” had me rollin lmao. I’ve never seen Dave laugh this hard. I swear Cumia is untouchably hilarious when it comes to catching a comedic riff 👌
The comments on this are truly disgusting. Y’all sitting here talking about someone who has passed on like this is just flat out sad. Not a single person who have made these rude comments know at all what the song is truly about.. do some research! He has told the truth behind the song so many times. You can literally put in a search bar and at least over a dozen or more videos appear or articles regarding it. The song was written because there was a family that lived in his apartment building that were truly in a bad position. Their father had walked out on them. Benny would see them all struggling. So he decided to try to help them out and gave each a job. One would walk his dog… another would walk to the store.. another would clean up his apartment and Benny would give them money to help pay their bills. Benny and his partner were up all night trying to write a song and had nothing. The girl came in to walk his dog and Bennys PARTNER said “oh my ward” bennys response was “man she’s just 16 years old, leave her alone”. The song was never about Benny being a creep! It was about how badly he felt for all they were going through. Being abandoned by their father and alone. Broke, no money to pay bills. He was saying if I could change all that and show you all unconditional love that a father is suppose to have he would. It cracks me up the things people come up with. Benny was the most kind hearted person I have ever met. And his music and his kindness will go on forever. Shame on anyone who tries to judge him. Last I checked there is only one person that can judge us and that’s god. Before you publicly try to cut someone down… do some damn research…
Just consider that, of all the things, kidnapping a teenager and having seHx with her was Benny's top priority if ever he wound up with Superman powers.
“It puts the lotion on or else it gets the hose”…those were the vibes I got. I’m dead, seriously. I love this guy though, I love this song, but your comments KILLED ME😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
The best part is that this whole video was edited together in post, they were originally just watching Ants home videos... not sure why he would call himself a ghoul, or why Dave would say all those awful things to his face, but that's not my business.
The local news in Syracuse ny did a peice about him recently talking about like he’s rock royalty. I was thinking about this song the whole time. Creepy fuck. Look up a picture of him today and it’ll immediately back up any joke you just made as truth
Yes, I remember that he's well known in the Syracuse area. I have relatives there. It's unfortunate for that first line. It's a beautiful song otherwise.
Benny Mardones looked "old" for 34. That just makes the video seem all the more creepy. There's this musician whose drug use has added "years to his appearance", singing about his love for a teenage girl.
