The medications calm them down so that they can pay attention, but they cause sleep deprivation, loss of appetite, and once it wears off the symptoms come back. It keeps them quiet and makes them zombie like.
I think it exists, but the behavior itself can change when ALL adults are the same page with educating and raising the child. Excessive social media, tv, and excessive refined sugar increases inattentiveness. As I recall, I did certain things with my mother, but when my father (who was not always present) said STOP, that was it! We as fathers need to be present in our children's lives.

The problem is parenting. You are telling the truth about ADHD- Black mothers and white teachers are to Blame. They get rid of Black teachers who really want to teach. There will be no solution. As an ADHD coach and a Black undiagnosed female that was LABELED smart but lazy until adulthood, I must make a few comments. 1. I thought we got past the myth of ADHD being the result of bad or lack of parenting. If the father's absence is the majority cause of misdiagnosed ADHD in black boys per Dr. Johnson, then how do we explain black girls having ADHD when they're raised with a mother in the home? I know so many black females with both parents that went undiagnosed because of stigma. The absence of EITHER parent is not automatically the CAUSE. The lack structure needed to manage the child's ADHD in the home environment is most likely because the parent or parents are not educated enough about ADHD to know how to effectively structure the environment. 2. We cannot ignore the acknowledgment of emotional dysregulation being an original symptom of ADHD, but was left out of the DSM. This is the difference between a black boy with emotional disregulation as part of ADHD vs a black boy who is disruptive and combative. 3. Pills don't teach skills. 4. Pills don't teach skills. 5. Pills don't teach skills. 6. Instead of automatically pushing back because of the drug implications, let's take or combine a holistic approach. Teach self awareness and management skills to children with ADHD. That's what it comes down to. If it's a paternal presence issue then divide and conquer but please let's take care of these black children being UNdiagnosed because of taboo and stigma.

Sherri is halfway lying. He couldn't get her name on that birth certificate if she didn't legally agree to baby. She know she signed those surrogate papers, making her the legal mother. She needs to admit that she wanted the baby at first, but when the marriage went sour, she wanted nothing to do with the baby, which is terrible.
I went to public schools in the city(dc)school in the 80’s and nobody I knew took medication. So all this is new to me but I found out about this about 11-12 yrs ago when I started coaching youth football.

To walk away from a marrage is your business but that baby dont deserve to be without a mom because you dont want your husband anymore. She is wrong for this one. Exactly but ppl like to act like that never happened. When all this happened Wendy said Sherri caught him sleeping with the surrogate and that’s why she ended the marriage so quickly. That’s why she abandoned the child.
Sherri is lying. She was intimately involved in the process of creating the son she abandoned. The court record reflects over a period of almost 2 years - Sherri signing agreements with a surrogacy attorney, a surrogacy company, the gestational carrier/surrogate, the donor egg company, the anonymous egg donor & having ongoing contact with the surrogate, attending medical appointments & writing the surrogate to say Sherri wanted a kid with her husband for 4 years. Every document she signed said she intended to be the child's mother & would add her name to the birth certificate. She paid $100k for the process. She asked her attorney to do the surrogacy in PA so she could be on the birth certificate without having to adopt. Their prenup said she would take custody of any kid they had if they divorced. She abandoned her son because she didn't like the husband she chose. She literally took extensive steps to create a child that she knew would not be her bio. child & she agreed to mother that child. The people siding with this man have some major issues. She did not use her eggs. She did not burth this child. This man mentally abused this woman so that he can benefit from her celebrity status for a payout. Now, she has to pay for a child who is not biologically hers. He got his 4100 for the next 16 years and is still trying yo get more from her. He is a piece of crap.
He should’ve gotten the $10,000. The child was brought into this world with a deadly disease because she forced him into existence. She tried to wash her hands clean of this and leave her ex-husband to suffer her poor decisions. This is no small matter. This is life and she’s a terrible person for what she did.
If he wasn’t working how’d he pay for the surrogate? Justifying leaving her husband is one thing, but after she announced a new baby via surrogate to say there’s no biological tie is messed up! I just can’t get down with Sherry.
My son is 4 and I'm already getting phone calls of teachers and social workers saying he's Adhd and Autistic. Needless to say, they told my wife that he already knows his colors, numbers, and is smart enough to be in kindergarten.
