@@jamesotz2637 You can’t remove it without tuning. The on off rev limiter is talking about the pass in the video. The bike front end comes up hits the rev limiter the front end comes down bounces bike is now off the rev limiter throttle still wide open . The front end then comes up again.
I used the 511 cam and Screamin’ eagle prostreet tuner. If your bike is a cvo I don’t believe anything is available. If your bike is a cvo st it already has this same camshaft.
Yes I still have abs. You would have to make new front spacers, run a radial caliper set up with the conversion mounts, space the mounts to line up the front rotors. On the back you have to modify the cushion drive , modify the stock rear brake bracket milling some material off so everything lines up centered and in line with the front wheel, and make a new spacer for the drive side.
Yes I figured it wouldn’t be for everyone. Thanks appreciate it. My goal is to get this bike under the low rider st weight. Replacing the swing arm with a super light version next.
Thanks appreciate the support. Go for it that’s why I’m making these videos. This bike will way out perform the cvo st in the end. I’m sure you will have as much fun as I . Enjoy
Yes I understand, thanks for the feedback. The first time I seen these on a video I thought the same . The technology in these lights is really something special. They aren’t some cheap led that you buy off of Amazon. When traveling behind the lights appear way bigger almost like 6” diameter lights. The camera just doesn’t pick it up.
Camera doesn’t pick up how bright they are. They are very bright when you are behind in a car. At night they ridiculously bright at night. I’ve had this set up before. Very comfortable with these.
@@T-Machinist ok, mine has 1000mi on it and will be doing this cam install probably next weekend. Was just wondering if I should wait until next year when better cams/tuning will be available to change it or do it now.
It’s up to you. I will be upgrading asap whenever bigger throttle bodies, ported intake manifolds, and tuning become available. The cam does make a big difference though. I had a 23 Roadglide st with a 64mm throttle body, ward ported manifold and the wood 777xe cam which is the biggest woods cam for stock valve springs. The fastest that bike ran was a 11.67 et. My 2024 ran 11.72 et. So the new heads in this bike are way better. Im real excited for the aftermarket to catch up.
@@T-Machinist Haha that’s funny I had a 23’ SG ST but I only had slip-ons on it. Was about to some motor work then I started hearing about the 24’ redesign so I held off. I’m glad I did, I sold the SG and got a 24’ RG. These 24’s are so much better in every way. I’m excited for the aftermarket to catch up also. Looks like it’ll just be SE stuff for this summer though 🍻
No not yet, no after market tuning available. When I’m at the drag strip I just unplug the abs module … this gets rid of speed limiter, and traction control. Speedo doesn’t work at this point, but tachometer does.
The wheels, the steel front fender, mirrors, crash bars, lithium battery, air cleaner, the factory dual exhaust, the under rear fender bracket, upper fairing support, replaced factory controls. I have some more things I’m going to do shortly to remove more weight.
@@T-Machinist thanks for the reply, I want to do similar things to my roadglide just didn’t know where to start😂 want to keep comfort, and looks while being a rocket ship
The easy shift does make a big difference. I’m waiting for the shift linkage, these two parts together are really supposed to make a difference . The floor boards are higher because of the 1/2 spacer which makes up the ground clearance I lost with the small tire that I have on the front. I haven’t hit them yet. I like the controls closer to me. Ergonomics in my opinion about the same. 4.25 lbs. weight saving and looks was what I was going for. I hope this helps
Looking at the same setup minus the floor board. What are your ride thoughts? Is the easy shift noticable? Did the shorter shift and brake lever improve ergonomics?

Just wondering what kind of work is involved in doing that front wheel conversion and what year is it from? Great progress on Bike, keep up the good work Brother!
The Harley bearings work. I turned the faces of the wheel down a bit on a lathe. You have to make new spacers. You also have to Run radial mount calipers and brackets to convert to Harley. Then space the caliper brackets to fit the rotor location.
@@stevew3372 Yes they did a bit ago. It’s basically for just exhaust and air filter tunes only. I think it adds fuel there isn’t any adjust for timing. It is perfect for people that are only going to change the exhaust and air cleaner. If you plan on doing a cam swap, big bore kit. I believe they are still working on the power vision for these applications.
I don’t know about the vvt. I don’t believe anything is available except a flash tune using the HD pro street tuner for the cvo vvt models. As far as the non vvt 117 HD has a screaming eagle 511 cam , but you must also purchase the pro street tuner to correct tuning. As of right now this is all I’m aware of for options, until the after market catches up .
I have a 17 FLTRU. I put in the he stage 2 cam with the Harley tuner. I hated that stuff. Bike never road right afterwards. Ripped that stuff out. Put in woods stage 2 cam with a non Harley tuner. Bike have never run better.
When tuning becomes available, I will be going to a different cam with a custom Dyno tune, but probably not until bigger throttle bodies and ported intake manifolds are available.
why do you guys buy HARLEY's , of all bikes just to spend a shit-load of money to damn near convert them into bad handling sport-bikes ??? HARLEY and their " KING OF THE BAGGER" SHIT , IS INGENIOUS.
Nice mods already! That must have cost enough, but hey, this is what a Harley RG must undergo to make it grrrllllllwww damn, that thing looks feels sound and goes like it’s got to be!! I’ve done mine RKS ‘17 just now with a zippers cam and it’s awaken now!! 😁🤘 keep the rubber down brother! Have a good one. I just wanted to let everyone know . It made a big difference. I installed the cam my self I just needed something until the aftermarket catches up with bigger throttle bodies, ported intake manifolds, etc. For most people this cam is probably enough , This new head design really wakes this 117 up. I had a 23 Roadglide st. Had the woods 777xe cam , same exhaust, 64mm throttle body with ward ported manifold and that bike ram 11.67 quarter mile.
@@iginogasparini3369 This is a temporary situation …it’s not tuned by plug color just monitored by wide open passes made during test and tune days at the drag strip. This set up will only be in until the after market catches up with bigger throttle bodies ported intake manifolds etc. different cam profiles most importantly tuning. The new heads on these really do make a difference. Thanks for looking out.
Awesome looking bike man! I have the CVO ST and doing similar things to it. I just put Sawicki pipes and the SE tuner on it until better is available. Did you drill the holes in the bars or already get yours in?
Thank you…I didn’t drill any holes in the bars . I just removed the plastic boss from throttle side and didn’t put the screw pin in on the clutch side. I like to be able to fine tune the placement of the levers.
Everything is from Harley-Davidson Screamin’ eagle it is a flash tune from their pro street tuner. Moonshine Harley Davidson has a video on the stage 2 upgrade. I didn’t have it tested on the dyno for power, as this is just a temporary set up , until the after market catches up.
Speedo doesn’t work after unplugging abs , but the tach does. Disables traction control , this is only at the track, wouldn’t recommend for the street if you know what I mean.
