Hi Jimmy, nice review. Just wondering if you had any issues getting a refund? I bought mine about 4 weeks ago from Anaconda for a Simpson Desert trip. Still laggy, no change there, kept on shutting down when it couldn't find a route to navigate, battery drains while on charge while driving. Can't shut it down to charge it, keeps turning back on ....and the list goes on. Thanks.
Hey mate, no issues getting a refund they were quite used to it! Not sure if it has changed since then but ultimately you’re entitled to a refund if it’s not working as advertised or not fit for purpose (and it’s not haha)
@@jimmys_jimny thank you. I took it back to Anaconda last week but they reckon they have to send a query to HEMA before issuing a refund. Still waiting to hear back.
Hi all, after some info. I’m looking at buying the 5 door XL ,so chatting to the dealer in the yard I was looking at the chiffon ivory,he happened to mention this was “about $700” more with the black roof compared to the Jungle Green ,no black roof, does this sound correct or was he already jacking up the price. I can see nowhere were it mentioned this in any reviews. Cheers guys.
Not true at all. It’s not changing anything to do with the engine. This is not a performance upgrade, it just changes how it feels and how responsive the accelerator is
@@jimmys_jimny Thanks. Do you experienced The Cruice Control doesn't work after Torq throttle control on mean when you press gas pedal it's goes up in the Gas pedal. Without Torq Throttle pedal the Jimny Cruice control work and if you push Gas pedal it's doesn't go up in cruise control?
@pematamang9268 no it still works fine! The throttle controller doesn’t change anything else other than the voltage being sent from the pedal, basically tricking the ECU into thinking that it is being pushed harder than it is
Have never seen the HX2+!! Tbh I would just stay away haha, HX2 was so bloody bad. Been running iPhone/cellular iPad mini + Gaia GPS (free) since I returned the HX2 and I’ve never looked back
I just want to start by saying great video and you put out some quality content. Due to yourself and a couple other content creators, I’ve recently decided to give this automotive content creation a go - with my old blue JB43 taking centre stage. I was wondering if you might have some tips on what might get my content out there? Again, keep up the great work and thanks for taking the time to read my comment 👍
Hey mate, thank you I really appreciate it! Best tip is to just stay consistent. Your followers will grow and your skills will improve over time if you do! My first video to my most recent is a huge jump, and an even bigger jump on my next video! Consistency is really the key to growing and don’t be afraid to upskill and watch videos about creating engaging videos etc. If you’re stuck for video ideas ChatGPT can be helpful!
Just mixed reviews from what I’ve seen. People are quite reluctant to modify them while in warranty too. Now that there are plenty of Jimny’s outside of the 5yr warranty I’d say we’ll start to see more and more engine mods.
The only upgrades are just because of the extension they’re not relevant to the performance of the Jimny. When I say no significant upgrades I’m talking about features :)
Hey mate such a great idea, I was wondering if you could do long term review on the hema hx2 even just a comment back would love to know what you think of it and is it worth it cheers
Hi mate, I actually returned the HX2 about a month after filming that video. Used the money to get myself an iPad mini 6th gen (cellular), it is 100000x better. You can use it for so much more at camp, plus you can run the Hema app just without the laggy experience from the HX2. Also, I have been using Gaia GPS app which is free and has some fantastic POI's and trip tracking etc, even has CarPlay integration if you have a car with CarPlay :)
Could you make another whole video of just you opening boxes. Don't mind what's in there but just opening them. Would really tickle my sphincter. Thanks
Great video mate they look great. Great idea for a extra storage space. And a nice little rear set up I guess you have a sliding fridge and draw on the other side
Cheers mate! Yep I’ve got a 20L brass monkey fridge + storage tub from Bunnings. It’s cheaper and lighter than a drawer, plus can easily be removed to act as a gear tunnel for items if I need extra storage space Can also have different tubs for different occasions so I have a camping one, and a recovery one for trips where I’m not camping
I don't have this oven, I have the tent world one which is similar. I find if you're cooking pies, sausage rolls or pizza, it's best to have it defrosted before cooking. I use it for hot lunches at work, I wormpk on the road, so I chuck my food in at 5am, turn it on 1hr before I want to eat (roughly) Nd the food always turns out mint. I do wrap my food in foil to avoid cleaning the oven. Plus I think the foil helps the food keep warm and cook a touch faster
the hx2 is rubbish, its laggy and pathetic. I got it for $200 and 6 hrs later I put it on gumtree 🤣. Its reject shop quality!!! avoid this crap like a plaque
@@Jonathan-L hey mate, I’d go for the Gaia GPS app (free), it’s really bloody good. Standalone GPS units suck and your phone is so much more powerful. If you want another device get a cellular iPad mini to run Gaia and you’ll get 1000x more features for just a little more than a HX2
@@jimmys_jimny Hi Jimmy, many thanks for the quick and helpful response. I'm now a convert after you suggested Gaia ... it looks really capable, even with the free base map. My brother is going bush and needs something to let him know which track he's on so he can work out where to go. I think he's got a Samsung S9 (or possibly newer), so not sure if it's one with built in GPS receiver, but I'll check with him on that one. Last night I downloaded Gaia & Avenza onto my Android phone & Chromebook ... Gaia for the win! I couldn't really do a whole lot with Avenza, so your recommendation with Gaia is a much appreciated solution. Thanks for your help Jimmy.
