Thanks for taking me with you on the journey through this project and the KWLA method. I love the picture. AndThanks for taking me on the journey through this project and the KWLA method. I love the picture. And: Herzliche Glückwünsche to Mr. Spark.
The music in this video was just delightful. I'm autistic and today has been super challenging, but I feel so much better after just watching this video.
Hi! I just found Your channel few days ago and I'm in love with Your style - simple, beautiful, calming. Backward planning made me really rethink my planning system, although I was already quite happy with it. Could You add titles of the songs You're using in the soundtrack? They complement the mood beautifully and I wolud be delighted to include some in my journaling playlist, although I can't event recognize the language (also english is my seconda language, a little rusty since finishing formal education). My request straddles Your other videos as well. Best wishes;)
Thank you for your kind words! It makes me happy that you enjoyed the videos. Yes, here are the titles of the songs I use in most of my videos (I use different ones based on the mood), and I hope this helps you: I'm gonna let the sunshine in today --- Loving Caliber overture --- dozeoff Special --- Adelyn Paik Sunshine after rain --- Adelyn Paik voice ---Collin Lim All we had was time --Bang Bang
thank you! I'm definitely gonna try this! I'm struggling a lot with stressing myself and trying to do everything, so focussing on how I feel might actually make the difference for me!!
This is such a good video. I have thought about this a lot. Many of us grow up considering only the opinions of others. We think, will this please my parents? Will this please my teachers? Will this save me from peer judgement or keep me out of trouble? We learn to never consider what we want, and depending on how judgmental our environment is, it can become extremely ingrained to not consider ourselves to the point that we struggle to even feel emotions, and it leads to long-term low-grade depression where we struggle to feel anything at all, especially joy from life. Once we grow up, we mostly lose those motivators BUT, since it's the only way we know how to exist, we keep an imaginary judge in our head that we do things for (otherwise we feel lost and adrift). Since it's imaginary, that judge can start to get out of hand because it is driven by anxiety about the "right" way to do things. We need to switch over to doing things for ourselves and our own happiness in life, so we need to very mindfully force ourselves to be more inwardly motivated, and practice it until it becomes second nature. I think this is the perfect way to begin that switch because it has that mindful planner aspect behind it.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts here! I feel deeply moved as I read your message--it quite accurately describes my journey. I especially resonate with the consideration of everyone else's (authority figures and peers etc.) opinions but never our own and the "long-term low-grade depression". I'm also still working on how to practice doing things for myself and turning that into second nature. Thank you again for your thoughtful share ❤️
I have no idea how to spend time on myself yet, but I recently discovered I really should try it. We seem to have similar interests, so I guess watching your videos to feel inspired to try new activities myself is already a good first step :)
Thanks you! This is the Ultimate Guide to autistic planning. Because shifting from doing to feeling helps to acknowledge, regulate and prioritize intoreception challenges, avoiding burnout, instead of navigating around it. Your 5 questions are so spot on! Since they relate to those stimuli we find energizing and those that drain our ability to focus and perform. Los this video so much!!!
I love your idea about steaming your food. What is the name of your little steamer? And does it come with recipes to learn how ro use it? I would love to buy one! And thanks so much for your video! I’m definitely going to try this method this week.🌻
If you search "Shanghai xiandi network technology" in the app store (I use iPhone), you should see an app with a yellow background and a hand--it unfortunately does not have an English keyword I can find for easier search.
I think your backward planning concept is interesting and relevant to me, as I do many things based on feeling. I hope to pick up some tips from your videos. Thanks for sharing.
I want to be more intentional with my free time instead of doom scrolling and mindlessly consuming YT content. I am glad to come across this video! I will be trying this strategy out! As for doing tasks for our jobs/studying, when you are feeling resistance and paralysis a great strategy is to think about how you would feel after completing this task. “How good will I feel when this is done?”
Thank you! I hope this approach works for you ❤️ and thank you for sharing--that is a great way to offer a perspective to see how motivated one might feel about those tasks!
Really love the idea since I started documenting my feelings with the "how we feel" app. Due to this app, I am now more aligned with my emotions and already made some slow decisions on my daily live (deinstalling league of legends hahaha) And since none of my visions have really pulled me forward (some things happend, some didn't which is fine) I know decided to use more emotions for that, so that I can break it down further later :) THANKS
"how we feel" is a wonderful app! It showed me the importance of "using the right word to describe your feelings". Not many people I know are aware of this app--I am so pleasantly surprised to hear you are using it and finding it helpful! Thank you for sharing ❤️
I'm not a fan of time tables and to-do lists as well, often times it gets me worked up but end up not being able to act on it entirely. Your take on this and the new ways you introduced are interesting, I'm curious to see how my journey would turn out using this method. Thank you for sharing!
This technique may work for you because you're near the INFP personality type. Why do I guess that? Because to-do's don't work for us! Time management doesn't exist for us! Thank you so much for a new framework in the just rising emotional management domain!
You're a great video story teller. Can I ask how you come up with the questions you ask yourself to plan how to reach your feeling? I've been wanting to try this myself but I'm not sure how to formulate questions for my feeling 'goals' (if that's even the right way to think about it lol) I will keep watching your journey, both in planning and to see your drawings!
That is such a wonderful question! 🥰 Once I know the feeling I want to focus on, I form my questions by going through 5Ws (what, where, who, when, why) and 1H (how) and see which question(s) I want to use. For example, for "happy", the questions could be "What activities or hobbies make me smile every time?" "When was the last time I felt genuinely happy, and what was I doing?" "Who are the people in my life that I feel most joyful around?" "How can I incorporate more laughter into my daily routine?" "Where do I usually go when I need to cheer up?" I hope this is helpful to you, and thank you so much for your support ❤️
I'm so bad at planning because I plan so many tasks that I not only don't have energy for them, but also forget to take breaks. I really like your approach as just taking the time to slow down and putting yourself in a good mood probably helps you finish the tasks you need to do as well. I'll also try to start focusing on my mood first to see if it helps me. Also, just wanted to mention I really like the slow pace of this video. I got so calm and inspired from all the different activities you showed to get energised that I temporarily forgot that the initial purpose of the video was to teach us about a different way of planning
I absolutely adore this video, never thought about this concept, but it makes sense! And so motivating and the vibes... Ah thank you for this video. ❤️
RU-vid algorithm occasionally hits a home run for me, and this is one of those times. I've seen backwards planning content before but implementing it never worked for me. I didn't need it for my job, and in my personal life I am mostly dealing with health, family and other issues - I don't need to force productivity into an already overfull schedule. This is a breath of fresh air in terms of approaching life and ensuring my planning, which I do every day by simple necessity to keep my family, work and home on track, actually includes things in it that are good for me and will take me closer to *feeling* how I want to. Your coffee picture is so cute 🥰 I embroider so it takes me a really long time to finish projects, but that feeling of displaying something you've created just can't be matched 😊
I think the whole world is feeling oriented, but some people are better at running over what they feel and need by brute force. And some others are aligned. Therefore there is no conflict between what they want and what they do.
I subscribed to your channel after coming across and watching the backward planning video of yours, i just want to say, i’m so glad. That video has helped me so much in the past two weeks. I have the screenshot of the lil graphical presentation you like to do in your videos of ‘’the questions to ask yourself’’ and i pull it up every time i find myself overwhelmed with tasks(like this morning). Thank you for your videos that you obviously put so much hardwork and effort into. I’m happy to be a part of your journey this early on. ❤️
Thank you so much for your heartwarming words! I'm soooo happy to hear that you found the video helpful! I hope the rest of your day turned out to be wonderful 🥰 I'm grateful to have you on this journey together ♥️
This is great! It's something ive been doing a while now. I ask myself not only how I want to feel, but what energy do i need to embody today for what i'm doing? I then play a little dress up. Its subtle so other people wouldn't nessecary notice, but I try to dress like the person who would be expert at that thing, makeup even on some days 😊
Such a great video -- I'm stunned you don't have more subscribers yet, so I'm here to help and subscribed. :) I watch a lot of planner videos, and on my channel show how I record what I "have done" rather than what I need "to do." The steps you have will help me approach my day with a broader goal while ensuring all I do is feeding that goal without it being a "to do." Love it. <3
Thank you very much! I love the "have done" approach! ❤️ You have some really great videos on Hobonichi--I have been wanting to try it for a long time! Looking forward to more videos on your channel! 🥰
