you used to get up quite early for school ! I was the aged 15yr(birthday march) at that time used to wake at 8am listen to music(vinyl) watch some rubbish good morning news programmes on bbc1 and itv, then drag myself into comp for just about 9 o clock - for something I think they called.... registration
Oh I love that so how old is this I love this old so much it carms me down and I can picture myself going into the 80s but this music has got ladies voices at the background OMG I love the 80s more but I love 1987 Ceefax 😊.
Remarkable quality here, it's like watching it live! Nice to see the Daytime on 2 line-up for this particular day was littered with Pages From Ceefax as the schools' programmes wound down for the Summer. Interesting that the See-Saw slot on BBC2 was still at 1.45 - I thought when this transferred from BBC1 it immediately moved to 1.20, as in later years. Or was this just a one-ff because of the cricket? See-Saw did survive with daytime programmes on BBC 1 for a short while.
Dave Cornfield's Music Machine (!) with Solar Derby playing here. 1) a track I think from the last Mozart Edition LP to be produced 2) The track gets faded early on the ceefax tape...
Classic Ceefax AM!!! A Passing Glance is the track here, Ben Cooper and Orchestra, Mozart Edition Music Library, please keep loading the pages, and man, you should join the Test Card Circle - they're doing a series about Ceefax AM from 1983 - 1994. Can't wait for the later tracks - this was and is one of the great(est) Ceefax era tapes! Ceefax AM had style - and good music (at least until some of the new tapes in late 1988/early 1989...)
Absolute top class! This is one of my favourite tracks from the BBC1 tape 'Positron' that had debuted a couple of years earlier. It is touching to see that this recording from the good old days of Ceefax broadcasts has survived in such good condition for 25 years.
