@@daviddiienno hey Dave , not referring to a lean mix , it happens with short pipes open ended when the cool air enters them and reaches the valve , that side of the valve stem cools faster causing a warp .
Nobody on Earth seems to realise that you can adjust the idle speed by turning the idle-speed screw... Lovely bike though. I've just never encountered an air-cooled VW engine idling at its specified 750 rpm, it's so much easier when your engine doesn't keep stalling, it's a two-second fix
Awesome bike, bought one at 17 (1976) restored it and used it to ride to school. Class mates were riding Yamaha FZ1's. Fond memories of this bike, was a joy to ride.
