I have a question please. Why do you use the tail to finish your row? Now maybe you answered that in the video, I was watching the video while watching tv... but i want to know how it changes the result.... Been crocheting for a while now, and i have never seen it done like that! I love love the tray, it is for sure on my to do list! I would just really love to know why you do it the way you do. I'm pretty pissed. I get how to do this but it's the beginning chains that are STILL too tight even after trying a second time, that it's still bunching up my work. I'm using cotton yarn.

I just love the simplicity of this bag pattern, and particularly the cord strap. Joining of the strap at the very end has me terrified. It looks so complicated and I’m not sure I could follow it.

NOT a magic ring. Slip knot. Never make a magic ring at the beginning of a chain. The entire piece will fall apart.

So just verifying, this is moss stitch, right? I'm 99.9% sure that's what it is, it just looks different with acrylic yarn than the polyester rope/yarn.
