If I was to approach this from the engine bay, would I need to remove the cowl cover along with the air box? I tried to remove components of the exhaust system, but they are extremely hard to remove. Thanks.
Four wheel drive would not engage also and light was flashing and the four wheel drive would flash. Not let in go into four wheel drive . Replaced the wheel speed sensors cleared codes and four wheel drive started working again
Where Toni get that. Changed my oil the first time yesterday and got oil all over the place. Freaking stupid how they put that filter in there. Thanks for video I wish I would have watched this first and got that part
I have a question. How much should a front wheel speed sensor cost to buy? I have seen both front sides for $30 up to $150 for one side and then Toyota wants $370 for one side, that’s the price for the part in a plastic bag, they charge $165 per hour for labor.
Believe it or not but we get them from eBay all four for under 40 bucks. We have a few trucks that have been going for over two years now with those eBay bought sensors with zero issues
Great video ! I want to point out that when taking old sensor out sometimes the plastic part that goes into hole gets stuck and part of it comes out . Then you need to remove that plastic out with a screw extractor in order to put new sensor in .
Thanks for saying about the front one being a 5 mm Allen bolt I never would have figured that out right away ,it's so Rusty. I don't know for sure yet which ABS sensor is bad but looking at them the front right one has a crack in the base of the center where the Allen bolt goes through so I would assume that would be a good place to start.
That would be a good place to start. Do you have access to good scan tool? Saying that I would bet that the one that’s cracked is probably the bad one. Glad that helped you out you take care
@@thunderroad7289 hi and thanks for responding. It looks like where the abs bolts onto rusted and caused one edge of the sensor to rize causing it to crack. Will that rust be able to be sanded/grinded off to place a new sensor or will I need a new steering knuckle ? I know there is tight tolerances for the sensor and ..reluctor ring? ...I think that is what the part is called the abs sensor bolts into...( steering knuckle )
Usually close to it. I would still take to an alignment shop as soon as possible ok. Sorry about the late response it’s not notifying me when someone ask question. Again very sorry for late response
These vans are actually known to have a weak rear end. So towing or not, the fix is those heavier shocks. Monroe 58624 handling immediately noticeably improved.
I was trying to get that end on and could not get it up enough to get it on. Thanks for explaining how to do it.afyer wasting two hours busting my ass your way took me 5 minutes lol
Nice. Thank you this saved me a ton of time. I was trying a 5 ft pry bar trying to lift it up and it was not working. Feel like a idiot after doing what you said lol. Super easy
Thanks for showing where that is and how to to get to it to remove.that was a nightmare getting out. Great job showing.thank you .hope you get to feeling better
Thats a sleeper i like it. I had a simliar dump kit on an old k1500 and it handled everything well until i crushed the bedside when i dropped a log on it. Now i have a flatbed 8x8.5 dumper on my F350. Has a 20k pintle hitch built in and it has a regular reciever hitch below it.
I changed out the battery in my Ford F-150 and now the radio and clock do not work, everything else does. I was told to bring it to the dealership so they could run a diagnostic test on it. The radio worked fine before I changed the battery.
In your video on the 2008 sienna transmission you mentioned twice that you did something 5 times. What exactly did you do 5 times? Did you disconnect battery 24hrs, then turn everything off, reconnect and warm up 15 minutes then drive it over 5 days? Or did you do the initial power down once then warm up 15 minutes then slow drive to 55 then stop. Then you repeated the drive up to 55 slowly 5 times after stopping? You have commenting off in that video. Thank you
Hey sorry what I did was disconnect the battery for 24 hours. Some people disconnect for a few hours but I like to give it 24 hours with battery disconnected. Then hook battery back get in vehicle make sure everything is off then start the engine let it warm up for 15 minutes then I take off and drive up to around 55 then come to a stop. I usually do that 5 times. If the transmission control module is not bad it will reset.
Everyone that watches this I’m sorry about the filming and noise. It was hard to do one handed at least till the end. Again sorry for the bad sound and filming at times
