Trombonist Jeremy Wilson, Professor of Trombone at Vanderbilt University, is acclaimed for the versatility and lyricism of his playing as well as his insight and commitment as a teacher. A champion of new music, he has commissioned or premiered over 30 pieces for trombone since 2016, recording many of these works on his two albums, Perspectives and For the Beauty of the Earth. He is the creator of the Body Mind Spirit Method, a holistic method to help musicians perform effectively and build healthy, fulfilling careers. He is well-known among trombonists for his Standard Repertoire Project, an ongoing RU-vid series of performance and “tips” videos of standard trombone works that has garnered hundreds of thousands of views since it began in 2018.
