Mexican wedding cake, but the thing is playing fan fair would get old real fast so it needs to be a check box to disable. also if you are playing in a ultra hard mode you don't want to die because some fan fair blocked something from view
I agree on all points except the RNG and minigame one, BUT not in the way you might think. imagine terrarias crafting system, but you always have the *choice* to do a minigame to attempt to craft a higher quality, higher stat version! (higher stats based on a min to max range based on how well you do in the minigame, which I guess isn't RNG)
ooph, why did you make archaic WoW style mechanic for loot drop. why did you make the loot a zero-sum. i would have made it like the one in GW2, where everybody who participated gets something depending on their effort and luck or chance* to get something. that removes a bit of toxicity from your game. as it is, why would you want to play with someone who has slightly better gear than you? they will always get the loot.
What are your feelings on PVP, in general and in Noia? What dev related milestone are you most excited to eventually get to? Any particular system or idea you are saving for down the road?
Maybe one of the fonts you have already does this. But, I would suggest maybe having one that is specific for people with dyslexia to make it easier to read
I did not try this with fonts, but i do not see a problem why this should not work: For the font change you could try to implement your interface to TMP and then you can find all objects that implement the interface and call the function. IDataPersistance is Interface here This will give you list of all MonoBehaviour that implements the interface and then you just loop it and call the function to change the font. Start() { dataPersistances = FindAllDataPersistanceObjects(); } private List<IDataPersistance> FindAllDataPersistanceObjects() { IEnumerable<IDataPersistance> dataPersistances = FindObjectsOfType<MonoBehaviour>().OfType<IDataPersistance>(); return new List<IDataPersistance>(dataPersistances); } Calling the interfaces: foreach (IDataPersistance dataPersistance in dataPersistances) { dataPersistance.SaveData(ref gameData); #Call the interface function to change font }
User selectable fonts: all the UI headaches of supporting multiple languages without ending up with multiple languages :/ I think this may be a miss step on your part, that will generate more work for the rest of development. Best case it magically always works and you just now have to test all ui changes in every font, multiplied by every language you end up supporting.
Seems to be working well so far. I have looked into localization a bit. But for now, "I" would rather deal with a coding problem, than have players with inherent accessibility issues unable to play the game.
I just wanted to say that you game is comeing along very well. Your sound design is phenomonnal. I also like your combat system, its so system, but feels so rewarding while kyteing enemies.
I tried the game for 2 hours It's enjoyable! I love the battle move, when using bow. move while attacking is fun but 1 thing hard to me is about text in game the text style a bit hard to read for me so I can't enjoy story line If this game 100% complete I don't mind to purchase it
All good for single player games..... Mmo's you need the aspect of in-game economy as well. You really need to be able to earn in-game currency with mining and other collecting skills. Refining materials and crafted items too. If this is too hard or too easy it will kill the economy in game and make the game less attractive in the end. Or make crafting out to be nothing. Too hard people will give up and do other things in game. Too easy it will drain currency from rich players and leave the mid-tier gamers stuck waiting to get enough resources. Or it will result in overflow of items that just aren't sold. Crafting, collecting skills, loot and economy. For the best crafting system an mmo-game must balance it all.
Na. Noia means "Bored" in Italian. I originally thought up the concept of the game while bored at work in a cubicle farm. I wanted to make a game bored office workers like me could play while taking calls. Noia sounded "fantasy like" at the same time........ Apparently it also slang for crackhead in Portuguese.
My man u done goofed when u went with ummo and mirror... They were never viable solutions for a mmo. Really shouldve rolled your own lightweight server solution and networking or used an extisting one like smartfox since those solutions dont need unity to run as a dependency on the server, which is what makes your current solution unviable.
Eh...yeah it isn't a prefect solution, but I wasn't about to try and make a backend from scratch either. I went with the map sizes I have now because they can be broken out to other servers/instances. Mirror has had CCU tests of 500 players. If I ever see 500 players in a single map it will be a good problem to have
