I loved training kicks but the practicality of forms was lost on me. I was taught later that it’s acting out a flow of techniques in a specific situation.
”for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.“ 1 Timothy 4:8 ESV. “but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7:24-25 NIV
What if taekwondo was a Skateboard brand because it literally means Skateboard but their protest's and employment insurance never connected to Scoot and Skate directly. However their taekwondo shoes were the end intended perfect Skateboarding shoes. Not in the lumberjack protests anymore. Thus, they only showed an advertisement social sign language interpreter system of cyber security cryptocurrency stock trading tracking movements. Like, they did the specialising of Skateboarding-martial-arts, and Skateboarding-gymnastics in a way that was needed culturally while supporting all of the protests. So, their intellectual property wasn't bought by general motors or businesses using Skateboard's for inventions and Skateboarding for fundraising... A subculture that never replaced but succeeded beyond... Like the rebranding would be a culture shock about a different but same answer that never was acquitted nor integrated but directly associated... Like Skateboard=taekwondo...
i achieved first degree black belt when i was younger. i haven't practiced in over 15 years. there is no TKD in my town. I was wondering if just learning the forms would be a good way to revive my skillset and even progress.
are we meant to build up speed doing these? getting faster the more we do it? or is the focus looseness of the muscles? or is it tension on the muscles? or is the focus co ordination and movement patterns or is it something else
