Clear water I always go for the curly tail worm for the extra action and you can kinda speed it up if they are feeding and kinda move it in the middle of the water column Stick worms for muddy water dark colors a black and blue or black with the bright accents on the tail

I was out of spinners so I just tied on my buzz bait and drug it across the bottom instead of the top about 7 feet in front of me and 8 pounder slurped it up
