Hi everyone! Do you want to see even more from the Peak District? If so, I have since made an improved/updated version of this video with almost triple the amount of locations. You can watch it here if you like: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zjEvP_qIBSQ.html
Thank you for this comprehensive and short video. Is October 1-10th still good for hiking there? How many rainy days are expected in this period as a rough estimate? And is it feasible by public transit from betws-y-coed as focal point?
I often find that the weather is so unpredictable (especially around Snowdonia). I did visit last year around the end of September and it was nice and sunny. It would be much quieter in October than in the summer and based on my experience, the weather would still be nice enough for hiking! In terms of public transport, Bewts-y-Coed should be quite well connected, being one of the main villages in that area. Hope that helps and enjoy your trip!!
The argument will be never-ending! But one things for sure, they taste pretty great either way! Thank you for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Except the tongue twister isn't about Mary Anning and she didn't sell sea shells. Mary Anning was an English fossil collector, dealer, and palaeontologist. But thank you for the reference because I went and looked her up and found out about this amazing woman!
Rydal Water is a truly exquisite place, and I have indeed been a few times before! 😊 The last time I went people were building mini towers of the slate that was lying around. I have also just recently been to Knaresborough (please excuse my spelling) and it is a lovely quaint little village. Thanks for a great vlog! Would you also consider travelling Scotland ever? There are many places there I love, like Dumfries if Galloway (which have their own ice cream brand), and the Outer Hebrides full of adventure!!!
Thank you for watching! Knaresborough is one of my personal favourites from Yorkshire. I would love to make it to Scotland, it is a place I am always planning to go to but never been. I'm really hoping to go as soon as the weather begins to warm back up early next year. and I'll be certain to check out Dumfries and Galloway and the Other Hebrides when I do!! Thanks for watching
Only recently found your videos but i just wanted to say how well made they are and how informative you are within them, the scenery and cinematography you use is incredible, we recently used your video for north wales and are very excited to visit the peak district soon following the advice given in this video, keep up the good work 🤝
Thank you for watching and thanks for your kind words! I'm always trying to make each video a little better than the last in terms of cinematography and information. So, I'm glad you find them helpful and enjoy your travels!!!
Good place, but people are shits. Car drivers are very violent, short temper, and crazy. Honking toward tourists in a crazy way. Rude people, without smile. People seems to be not well educated.
Love all of those places in Nidderdale and have been lucky enough to visited them so many times. Would also have to include Hackfall Woods, Pateley Bridge and Scar House Reservoir.
Thank you for the suggestions! We only spent a few days around Nidderdale so it's great to learn about some new spots that we didn't get to visit whilst there! Thanks for watching
if driving yourself there then be prepared for the 300 plus traffic lights within a mile and seriously over priced food can take upto 40 mins to and hour to do half a mile in the car yes there is some pretty places but a majority is awful id give it a 4/10 for a nice day out oh and locals are extremely rude
New Bowling Green is a great pub with the town's best beer garden (it's a two minute walk from the castle and the East Gate), and since the new licensees took over in the summer of 2023 it has got even better! Pop in and say "hi!" - the food is lovely, the staff are wonderful! We try to go in once or twice a week if we can. Treat yourself!
We are staying at beautiful Llandudno in Wales for a week in September and will defo be visiting Anglesey in Wales to see the castle, and because of your video the other places as well. Ohh and also that railway station with the longest name dont ask me to pronounce it😂
At least there is a shortened version of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll... Which is a little easier to pronounce. Thank you for watching the video and I hope you enjoy your trip and visit to Anglesey!
Thanks for the correction! I likely meant to say 76 metres but said feet instead, It's amazing what slips past whilst editing the videos. Thanks for watching!
I love the way you film your videos, reminds me of how Chris Broad does it in that British documentary style. Your videos definitely deserve a lot more recognition 😊
I went up it once. I was wearing somebody else’s boots and got blisters within 5 minutes of starting the walk. It also rained constantly and I had nothing but a poncho as wind/water protection. I got hypothermia at the top and just wanted to get down. Started hallucinating halfway, and my group got lost trying to find a quicker route down as it began to get dark. We made it back to the bothy after dark and I slept through the night and all the next day. I was totally ill prepared and put my group in danger, and am forever grateful to them for getting me down again. I was much better prepared for the next walk. It’s so easy to die on a mountain without knowing you are dying, especially if you’re an idiot like I was.
I'm glad you're safe and sound. It's always good to learn from your mistakes, and I'm sure you'll be more prepared for your next mountain adventure. Stay safe and have fun on your next mountain!
Great video! Where can we find the combined tickets? I see many 3rd party resellers have similar options, is there any direct-sale option for the combined ticket through the museums/sites?
I believe you can get combined tickets at the entrances to any of the sites. I also think GetYourGuide has a combo ticket which let's you skip the (sometimes) long lines when there, and it's always nice to have some things booked in advance. I hope that helps!
Nice videos and walks. The high point of Kinder Scout is quite a way from Kinder Downfall as it is not at thr 633m Trig pillar but within the Peaty area much further inland. You would need a Gps to get to the true summit!
