Give it 10 years, and HBO will reboot Game of Thrones if GRRM finishes the last two books of the Song of Ice and Fire series. Only next time, hire more competent writers that don’t waste their budget on useless sex scenes and wanna rush to end the series just to do something else.

the problem with arya killing the night king is that the prophecy about the Azor Ahai in the books got gutted for no reason, and yes arya's storyline was all about taking revenge for the starks and the night king doesnt fit it at all. but hey whatever its just a show and if the big guy will ever release all the books maybe we'll know whats canon and whats not.

Imagine what would be the effect of this scene if dumb and dumber wouldnt destroy a legendary series.. This scene hits so hard that reminds us last 2 seasons of the got should be remake.
Man, I'm so bloody happy that I decided to drop GoT S8 after ep2 ... Which is why this scene hits so much harder and more epic for me personally! Have already rewatched this scene dozens of times, but still get goosebumps!

@@murrhurr4480 What??? Why would Joffrey send someone to kill Bran? Why would he care? He doesn’t know anything about the incest or that Bran was pushed. He couldn’t be assed to pray to Ned and Cat for Bran’s safe recovery, why would he care to “silence” some little boy he barely knows? And how would he send an assassin? He’s a teenage boy who has no idea what he’s doing or how to rule. It wasn’t even Joffrey that sent the assassin, it was Littlefinger, trying to enflame the Starks and Lannisters into war. That’s why the cutthroat told Cat “you’re not supposed to be here”. And why he didn’t try to kill Cat to get to Bran, sure he cut up her hands but no real attempt to kill her. Why? Because Littlefinger probably specified not to harm her. Even if Littlefinger was lying and had never senn the dagger before, JOFFREY wouldn’t have sent an assassin. It would’ve been Cersei, but it wasn’t.
@@Sleptzmann That makes literally no sense. Cersei was the person who said they should “end Bran’s suffering”. In GoT, Joffrey wasn’t even in the room when Cersei said this. There is a roughly 0% chance Robert discusses Ned’s son dying in his own halls. And Joffrey not only isn’t that stupid, but again, has literally no idea how to hire an assassin in a competent manner. He’s a child. It’s literally Littlefinger. That isn’t a theory or idea, it’s literally Littlefinger.
@@MT-iw6sl these are the character's opinion from the book. Joffrey did it because he thought it was something Robert wanted done. Only he could take his legal father's dagger, which once belonged to Petyr. Cersei is not stupid enough to give a unique dagger to an assassin. There's no explanation in the series.
@@imtheguy3886 Prophecies are tricky things. There is an interpretation of prophecy here. We don't know what Aegon actually saw. The only thing I'm sure of is that there is one person who will save all of humanity and that is Jon, the name is unimportant. Frankly, the AA issue is probably not as it is said.
I can't imagine the look on Aegon's face if he knew this dagger would end up in the hands of Arya Stark. Who is not of his blood, used it to vanquish the Night King and sail off into the sunset with it. I don't know if this makes me more happy, or more angry.
Angry, because Dumb & Dumbers' Season (6)-7-8 were Horsehit. Why the fuck Jon/Aemon (refuse to call him Aegon because his brother was called that) will go beyond the wall to capture a wight, when he can simply hang those who killed him, put their corpse in the ice cell of Castle Black, and have proof that the Army of Dead is real ?
Angry, because D&D destroyed Jon's entire character arc for the sake of a short-term viral wow moment. Subverting expectations only works if the subversion is as or more satisfying than the expected. Once the initial wow wears off, there's nothing satisfying about Arya being the one to do the deed, because unlike Jon, her own character arc had nothing to do with this.
What was the prince who was promised suppose to do? If it’s kill the whitewalkers, which if I remember correctly was Aegons vision, well that never happened lol. Arya happened.
@@ianvera4299 GoT is good I will agree with you. all they had to do is stick the landing and it would be talked about 20+ years later as the greatest tv show made, which it was for a good while. But I wont blame it on GoT showrunners only. Many Hbo shows dont stick the landing it seems near the end of many shows on HBO it just gets lazy/ridiculous. small things like the end of True Blood, Tara dies off screen, they don't show Sookies husbands face? I am undecided but so far on HotD they seem to refer to the prophecy a handful of times, I think that's a studio decision to get views or something on GoT
@@sonofvenus1621 GOT is still talked about btw( even if people still complain it's still a sign that there are passionate views years later), but I do agree that not sticking the landing is something HBO has occasion been the victim of. GRRM is to blame moslty since this is his story and it seems he longer cares to finish nearly 13 years later.
@@ianvera4299 yea. i cant argue with you there. at one point GrrM promised 5 years per book and he was pretty much sticking to that. Then the show came out and that bottom was coming closer and closer to him.... then the show caught up to the books. There's some interview that's fairly recent GrrM said he wont finish the book. I had given up on those books being finished a long time ago. Whats it been so far about 12 years or so since the last "main story" Asoiaf book?

What makes more sense: that this is the setup for a complete remake of Game of Thrones, OR, things look different because it's set during a time when magic was still a thing and before Robert Baratheon had the throne room redesigned?
@@eevee9111 redesigning the iron throne is like redesigning the Mona Lisa. Sure it's possible, but no one would do it and it makes no sense that someone would, especially since that chair is a symbol of legitimacy. Leaving the continuity open for a GoT remake is just a smart business. It's an established franchise, with a strong fan base and the source material is already there. How many times have they rebooted spiderman and batman? It's what Hollywood does.
