It's all because how the family raise boys at home. Kalo anak cewe diajarin masak bebenah spy nanti bs serve suami, pdhl dia pengen jd wanita karir. Kalo besarin anak cowo di serve abis2an sm emak, dn tdk ada kewajiban utk ikut bantu cuci piring atau bebenah aplg nyetrika. Semua kerjaan domestik alias rumah tangga di jadikan tanggung jawab perempuan. Jadi pas nyati mantu perempuan atau cari istri....bisa masak ngga, bisa bebenah ngga. It easy to see satu keluarga adl keluarga paternalistik atau nggak. You akan liat para perempuan dirumah itu kerja 24 jam dn kerjain semua, sampe urusan begadangin anak dn kursng tidur. Itulah keluarga paternalistik. Dn ironisnya, para perempuan yg dpt perlakuan ga adil ini yg melanggengkan tradisi ini.
When we talk about boycotting, we talk about to, not more or at least, to weaken their economic state or even their spirits, knowing that so many people are not supporting them. Nobody ever said that a cup of coffee would stop a war. However, that is the least we can do. It's such a shame that you have the platform that could spread the awareness, and you are an intelligent person, but still not educated in this topic. And please reflect that the way you laugh at the people boycotting is the same way people laugh at you for being uneducated about this. Free Palestine 🇵🇸
i think libertarian socialism is what everyone wants. ✊ i love afu and how she set this conversation to be so productive. i love listening to her talk, i learned so much, so much new knowledge and the way she structure her points are very clean and organized. she should have her own podcast

Regarding "almost" no sex education in formal education setting, dulu sekolahku (walau private, tapi private murah, partially government-funded) tahun 2002-2003 dapat penyuluhan sex education sedikit dan umurku 7 tahun waktu itu. They showed us condoms, where we came from, the birds and the bees and whatnots. Entah itu datang darimana inisiasinya, tapi seingatku bu Dokter yang nerangin itu aku beberapa kali ketemu di puskesmas setempat growing up. Tapi beberapa tahun kemudian aku denger adik-adik kelasku gak dapat lagi :( Jadi sepertinya aku rasa itu inisiatif warga/instansi setempat deh, tapi sedih juga kalau ternyata mereka adakan ini sendiri tanpa sokongan pemerintah. Di pemikiranku dulu waktu kecil, itu ga ada pikiran "jorok" atau gimana, genuinely I loved learning about the biology, yang bahkan waktu itu aku masih kecil banget umur 7 tahun (dan menurutku penting dikasih tau sedini mungkin karena faktanya aku masih inget sampai sekarang jadinya). They showed us a short animation-ish film about the baby's journey, and it didn't look as bizarre and I don't see it as a bizarre memory as an adult now. Aku gak tau persis gimana anak-anak SD di sekolah sekarang edukasinya sekonservatif apa tentang sex education ini, tapi aku ingat dulu di kelasku pun ada patung rahim perempuan, dan itu benar-benar diterangkan baik sama guruku. I wonder what went down and why we decided no children should be taught reproduction as they will mature one day :') it's always better that they are prepared with education beforehand, apalagi tentang consent. (Consent ini pun aku diajari sama sekolahku, even earlier than the sex ed program)

This includes managing key resources like: 1. Fire, along with limited resources like minerals, energy ⚡, oil, and gas ⛽ 2. Water 3. Land The state’s role here is crucial in controlling these resources for public benefit, rather than leaving them to market forces, which often prioritize individual gains 💰.
