@@julianemery718 AAA games are just games with a big budget. At first I wanted to say quality of the texturing (because pipeline is the same), but both big and small studios could have skilled artists. So it’s just sounds cool, that’s it. I’ve worked on both AAA and smaller projects and there’s no difference in income. Sometimes smaller projects could be more comfortable.
In triple A games the art will be subject to more scrutiny. Which is something smaller developers with a smaller budget don't have to think about. This is because there's more money on the line, more people chiming in to critique what you've made and also if you're just a regular grunt your art will have to be evaluated by a director who has a particular vision that your art might not align with. Sometimes this is good because there's more focus on making sure there aren't any weird seams, distortions, mismatching art styles or other bad practices. Other times it can be a negative thing as you have less freedom to make bold decisions when it comes to the art and the visuals can often times be watered down to the point they loose all uniqueness.
Sorry for the bad sound in some parts guys 🙏 In the next videos I’ll fix it for sure! This course was recorded mainly in real-time and showcase the entire process. But there’s plenty information that I can’t cover in 1 video like Art theory, design, PBR texturing after handpaint, correct presentation. Also, from a certain point onwards, videos won’t help you develop further and you’ll need to visually receive feedback on your work or work with a mentor. With a mentor's guidance, you can literally relive their experience and save yourself a ton of time that you would otherwise waste on mistakes that everyone makes. And as the results show, this is the easiest way to find a job in the industry.
