It’s exactly the same on the stock trigger of the shield plus, I don’t like it at all

On my apex trigger the pin sticks out on the left side and doesn't come through the other side at all not sure if this is correct or not.

Noticed that this weekend - first time using the Hyve Monarch trigger. Not a fan. Back to carrying my Glock 19 until I can find something better before summer.

Not sure if the issue was caused by you just replacing the trigger, but I installed the complete trigger assembly from Apex on my Shield 9 and had no issues at all. No shaving or gunsmithing needed. Never locked up on me regardless of finger position.

Is it worth doing? I’ve been considering selling my 2.0 with integrated laser for the shield plus. Basically only for flat trigger and few more rounds. Then thought just spend $75 and get a flat trigger Wish I could just buy a Shield Plus trigger only. Is the apex (trigger only) easy to change out ?

Mine also works flawless. It was the whole kit on a 1.0. Have to be measured but I’d say it breaks clean and crisp around 4lbs My wife has the performance center 380 ez and it’s pretty close with the trigger. I’d say slight edge to the apex setup

Thanks for the video. But what do I need to do to that part of the trigger? Grind it down with a dremel? I have the same issue, same trigger.

Yes, you need to either use a dremel or a small file and remove part of the metal flange in the rear of the trigger. Remove just enough to keep the trigger safety functional when pulling on the sides of the trigger but remove enough so that it full retracts when light trigger pressure is applied. Watch my 2nd video and you can see how much I had to remove.

Thanks for the video. I don't like a trigger that is hard to release. In a high stress situation that may cost you your life.

I agree. I removed enough of the rear flange so that it is fully retracted with very little trigger pressure.
