I worked continuously from 2006 to 2019, switching between three different companies. I consolidated my Provident Fund (PF) accounts from the first two companies into my last employer's PF account and its more than 50,000. Since quitting my job five years ago, I'm wondering if there will be any tax/TDS deductions if I withdraw my accumulated PF amount now. And my yearly income is less than 2.5 Lakhs.
Hi Bro, I worked continuously from 2006 to 2019, switching between three different companies. I consolidated my Provident Fund (PF) accounts from the first two companies into my last employer's PF account. Since quitting my job five years ago, I'm wondering if there will be any tax deductions if I withdraw my accumulated PF amount now. And is it mandatory for me to submit form 15G? Please advice.
No need to attach PAN card with form 15G. But make sure your PAN number is linked with your EPF account, otherwise form 15G is not valid and 34% tax will deduct.
If your net taxable income is below 2.5 Lakhs then you can submit form 15G. Net taxable income means income after using all tax exemptions. Hope this article can help you: www.tickertape.in/blog/income-tax-exemption/
