Say I wanted to make a robot that would work in the middle of a field where there was no wifi signal but instead I setup a router that was not connected to the internet, just created a signal. If I had the pi and my laptop connected to this router then this approach would work?

Very thorough and informative video.... You pak mainly of 1 source of ESD- i ha a corsair keyboard and a Pronik-- both lacking a ritoir of a small value at the USB connection of their PCBs..it's put there to slowly dissipate this static buildup when not in use or even tiny amounts when in use. I remember not being able to use a wireless mouse- because the static build up would cause me to launch the mouse across the room...in high velocity...amazing what our bodies are capable of as a side comment--- but, yeahh, a simple addition of a resistor could have mitigated these scenarios.

I just did a quick run through your videos to date. They were exactly what I needed as a new Kicad user. They were just right on depth, duration, speed, needed vs optional, etc.
@roberthedan8924
@roberthedan8924 5 месяцев назад
Short, no nonsense, clearly explained, awesome! Is it possible to use buses for "one to many" to avoid ERC warnings? IE: pin RA0 on MCU to pins D+ and PGD on separate components? KICAD decides what it will name the net, I'd like to name it by my MCU pin name (like RA0 and RA1).
@unboxing_tomorrow
@unboxing_tomorrow 5 месяцев назад
Good question! Every net on the bus can be unfolded an unlimited number of times. So for one-to-many situations, I would label the bus first, and then unfold the wire/label as many times as needed. Doing it in this order will avoid net naming conflicts that could cause ERC Warnings. Because labels have priority over KiCad's auto-assigned net names, this is guaranteed to get you the net name you want.

Question being that Helium mobile runs on T-Mobile network can you download the app on this phone to use their SIM card for phone service?
@unboxing_tomorrow
@unboxing_tomorrow 5 месяцев назад
I don't know the answer to this one. Mainly, I'd want to know if the Helium/T-Mobile networks support 4G and for how long, since this Pine model has a 4G modem. I've heard mixed reviews about using Waydroid to run Android apps on GNU Linux, but this is another possibility.

What about the intergrading with outlook/Gmail emails, and different languages input support such as Japanese, Chinese those none Latin languages? I know plasma mobile and gnome mobile on pmso can do that, but plasma is very hard to sync with emails and calendars
@unboxing_tomorrow
@unboxing_tomorrow 6 месяцев назад
I'll check if there's a solution to these I can test. I'm overdue to test out Waydroid and whether it can run the Android apps I use the most (especially keyboard input methods).
@drakegao816
@drakegao816 6 месяцев назад
So far, Phosh wont use ibus, so no none Latin languages support, Gnome45 have trouble to use the virtual keyboard to sign in online account, wayland just doesnt recognize the input, i have to use a mouse to trigger and set the keyboard popout to alway be true or use a physical keyboard, and Smxo too complicated to configure if i dont dig into the script. Ha. so really hard to use linux mobile so far daily, except Sailfish whicb has all the featurea above that mentioned and android apps. But really would like to try out other distros. Ha
@drakegao816
@drakegao816 6 месяцев назад
Pmos so far I don't see is very usable. Phosh(no althernative input methods for none latin langauge, sqeekboard and phosh-osk-stub are the only keyboards to use, Ibus doen't work), Gnome(online account signed popup, or some apps like pure maps, virtual input keyboard is not recoganized by wayland, not poping up, I have to use the physical keyboard to force the input), Plasma(really have trouble to sync the gmail, contact), others are desktop interfaces, sxmo(very limited, requires too many configurations, apps don't show up in the applist, even though the name is simple mobile.. but it is the most complicated one). Ubuntu Touch(no VoLTE), pretty much can't use in the States. So far the only linux mobile that can be used daily with all the requirements and android(de-googled) apps running is Sailfish OS which I have used for 2 years. Really hope Pmos can get out the of the beta testing and have the official production release.

It sounds like it is still a work in progress. I find that Samsung's Keyboard (v5.6) for Android is very well-designed so I'm hoping there is a similar project out there somewhere for postmarketOS. Maybe if I can get de-googled Android on this phone, it will be my next OS to test.

You can use reinforcement learning with enough data points. Ontop of that, i want to develop an IP configuration to make anonymity a first class citzen via routing all tcp traffic through tor.
