Vidiyal means a New Dawn in Tamil and our organization Sakthi - Vidiyal aims at bringing a New Dawn in the lives of children from varied disadvantaged backgrounds including children in need of care and protection, street children, runaway children, abandoned children, working children, children from excluded communities and children experiencing difficult circumstances like abuse, exploitation and violence. Over the past two and a half decades Vidiyal’s rights based approach have changed the lives of street urchins and its dynamic engagement with marginalized communities enabled hundreds of children breaking through barriers of social exclusion. Vidiyal enables these children who are at the bottom rung to avail opportunities for holistic growth through Child Education Centres and education.
