It is not just a swimming lure, it is also a big wiggling lure. You can have it on top of water, diving, slow or fast wiggling even with slow movement. It is what fishermen have been locking for, all these years. Big game changes. When I had them I had a big, big surprise !
Respectfully , it seems nobody cares. Maybe if you did a modest review of a everyday fisherman....instead of reviewing at very fast pasted way in a very privileged child's house. You could have done it outside and not on Adderall. People like a down to earth person who they can relate to. Slow down and don't blow though daddy's money. Calm down and take a breath. KVD is a very good baitcaster. It could last a lifetime....not with you . Fishing is meant to be relaxing........
@@davidarwood6264 🤣🤣🤣 “daddy’s money”…. I pay for everything I have on my own. Not with anyone else’s money. The kvd reel is a cheaply made reel that will work fine for a weekend warrior, but will go bad relatively quickly for someone who is fishing multiple times a week.
So, what’s wrong with an exceler? Does it catch fish any less frequently or snootily? Does it weigh more than one of these? Oh, and I can buy more than 2 of these for the same cost as one of these shamino’s. Btw, feel free to drive over your reel… even if it doesn’t break, if it doesn’t make you cry, then you must have more dollars than sense. Bottom line, excellent equipment does not make you a better fisherman.
yes the exceler is not so smooth.. also weighs a lot more.. also doesnt last as long.. but hey its also not bad.. For me the stradics and vanford make more sense.. they are about 150-200 dollars.. (vanford is lighter so cost a bit more). I wouldnt pay 300+ for a sustain though.. internally it isnt much different to a vanford. The price diff is too much compared to the parts different.. its even worse for the more expensive models.
If i got this right , this 220 euro vanford is almost better than the twice that price twin power xd ! (The reel on the video is twin power FD ,but it remains a mystery then why twin power XD costs twice this vanford ...)Could you explain a bit plz if im wrong on this
@@ChrisGousias no, the twin power is much better than the vanford. I had issues with the vanford and sold all mine. Vanford is worst on my list out of these reels.
@@CrankinWithChristian Ur so wrong though... the vanford has like 95% of the same internals the twinpower has.. Its clearly the best thing shimano makes.. sustain is just 1 mayor different part to a vanford and a couple of non important bearings.. and they ask 100 dollars more for it now thats a cashgrab.. The best deal is clearly the stradic.. shimano also sells about 100 times more stradics then they do twinpowers.. vanford is the light stradic.. cost 50 bucks more.. if u need it to balance a rod.. (i love my 4000 vanford on a heavy 7 foot rod).
I own all four. The Vanford is easily the worst of the four but also the one I most enjoy fishing with. It’s so light and matches with a light rod and that’s how I fish. The weight is crucial for me.
The XD will always be around I think. Because the FD and XD are 2 totally different reels. The FD is more rugged , little heavier. I feel it's a better structure / heavier drag setting reel. The XD is more of an Open water / finesse reel. Definitely lighter then the FD but definitely not as rugged. The only con I have found with the XD vs stradic FL , vanford , sustain , twin power FD and Stella is the roller line bearing. For some reason I think Shimano screwed up with the line roller bearing protecting it as well as the other reels. The bearings go bad so fast in it. Even with me doing my grease trick with my bearing. Like you said its not a big deal but at the same time a $450 - $479 reel that shouldn't be happening. Especially when lower end Shimanos don't have this issue Rod recommend 7'6 6-12 Sniper 7'4 6-12 Banshee Also with daiwa don't waste your money on ANY daiwa LT models. They are junk. Frames flex so bad
twin power is the most expensive range? kkkkk thank god Stella wasnt in your line up hahaha obs: LOVE the Twin Power FE.. just got a second one!!! I have a 5000XG and a 2500. 🥰 IN LOVE with them
You looked a lil rusty on your bass fishing hooksets lol.. need to get out more and get some sharper hooks. Our club tournament is this weekend at erie, big brownies
I got into fishing very recently. For now im fishing for pike and zander mostly, sometimes to mix it up a little i try getting some bass and trout. I tried about every reel from every brand under the sun in the fishing store and got stuck on the Shimano Stradic FM 4000. That felt like the reel i got the most for my money. From that reel up the prices increase steeply with very little, sometimes nothing in performance increase.
I do agree, it’s very little differences once you hit the $200-$300 price range. Stradic is a great reel. I am thinking about buying a bunch of them to throw on my saltwater gear
Thanks for the info. I also think it’s important to compare where it’s actually better than the Stradic FM which also has Infinity drive and Cross, dura cross drag, anti twist fin that was also added
Stop setting the hook with circle hooks 😂. Just reel tight and lift rod. Circle hooks are dummy proof no hook set required 😂 Unfortunately setting hook with circle hook 9/10 times gonna pull the hook right out of its mouth 😢😭
@@vsonic86 I haven’t had any issues with stradics and don’t have much experience with the gosa’s. I do know several guys that have had issues with the vanford line roller bearings tho.
@@CrankinWithChristian Yeah and that’s why it’s confusing. When there is a “SW” model, One would that’s the only one that’s saltwater, and the others are not.
@@Unplugged704 technically all model twin power are made for salt still. If you watch the twin power videos shimano puts out, they’re all for salt water fishing, but they just make them in sizes good for everything, hence the 3k-5k size. Now a days, almost all shimano@: over the $200 price point have the technology in them to be sealed for salt use too
Reel weight is not the end all, be all…… Fishing techniques, rod configuration and handle length factor in the reel selection decision, there is more that goes into final selection. Nice line-up of reels you have!!
"wide spool, more line"?...u dont know what u talking about....keep the video of unboxing and first impression instead of misleading product review...btw good video and audio keep it up...
Wide spool, more line? It is a long stroke spool which is 10% bigger than normal spools so it does hold 10% more line. That is per shimanos website too. Not trying to be rude in this comment, if it comes out that way. Just not sure how it is misleading?
