Is that where Tripoli suppose to be? Unless there is more than one city named Tripoli, I know the one in Libya, this one looks like it should be Beirut.
Really enjoyed all the Buzra-Dum stuff. Definetly adds even a little extra to the story. And on top of that, in that one battle you had 14 losses, to take out an army of 2400. Wow!!
I am really enjoying this campaign and great work by Galvatron. I'm glad it didn't ruin your campaign! 👍 Thank you for the nod, too. Very much appreciated.
Awesome modded additions, hopefully the audio issues get resolved. Ranting about using ranged units: I find it odd that so few players strive to give their ranged units great shooting angles. At its simplest, just placing a crossbow or ballista safely on right flank behind the frontline allows the unit a decent angle at the left flank even at enemies engaged with your infantry. Or you can leave small gaps in your frontline and place crossbows right behind the gap, so they get almost point-blank shots at any unit getting stuck into frontline. Or while defending, make a larger horseshoe so a unit placed behind left flank can just shoot over his infantry cover right at the back of anyone attacking the opposite flank. Though it does require micromanaging to keep your targets ideal.
Enjoying this campaign! You should take out the most northen settlement from the snow orcs i think its burzakul Its a fort and they produce troops from there
Love you stuff Ligizd. You should go into your LUA file (EOP feature) and unlock the stack autosort so all armies are automatically sorted by unit type. Makes it look amazing. You can also add a feature where you can view all settlements in factions you trade with…makes sense as your traders would report on them. Let me know if you want any more info on how to do these things. Much love
True, but he doesn’t want to do that because he did that in his last campaign he said he got tired of the constant battles he just wants to destroy the one ring and see what happens instead
Some others here have mentioned it, but after the 2nd upgrade in Bruza-Dum, rebel army led by the Balrog, with alot of trolls will spawn in and attack right away. You are ment to lose, but you can win with a full army in the settlement with a fair amount of artillery and crossbowman.
Hello, my friend. MANY thanks to Galvatron, he's a great guy and not only added to your campaign, but also to my story... 😁I think he deserves to name an important city or castle after him... Now on the campaign, the army of Balin is so powerful, that there is nothing in Middle Earth that can battle it. Eorlstone will be a tougher battle, because of all the AP units that are garrisoned there, but I think you'll be OK. Afterwards, only Burzakul and Wrakyaburg will remain in their hands, and I suppose that their garrisons will be very weak, since the best of their armies are currently in Eorlstone. I also think that Wrakyaburg will fall to the hands of Erebor - perhaps the other army besides Balin heads to there and will bypass Balin, albeith there is still the possibility that they will strike back and the battle of Eorlstone will be climactic. Against Angmar, you start to gain the upper hand. I really appreciate that a Dwarf with the name Durin will claim the One Ring (if it's still in Carn Dum) and will end Mordor that way, it's very fitting... But from Gundabad, Cameth Brinn and Nochva Rhaglaw you have three points from where you can attack Angmar, but also where Angmar can attack you. And since I see an Angmarim army close to Nochva Rhaglaw, I suspect that you will be attacked soon. I don't think that Bree has the upper hand over Ered Luin, so I suppose that the time will come where Ered Luin will attack you and the Dwarven Civil War will start. In other matters, your economy is flowing in good terms and if you stop recruiting for now, you'll bounce back. After all, with the proper retraining, your armies will be in good shape again for the war against Angmar. And now, let's add a small episode to our story. Many thanks to @galvatron0810 for his wonderful mod, this helps so much to this story! Balin was now sieging Eorlstone, after passing from Framsburg. The army was so powerful, that is passed over the Orcs two times, one relieving the siege of Maethelburg and the other in Framsburg, with only minimal losses. As Borin said to Balin when they got in the Tower of Fram, "how you feel with the most powerful army in Middle Earth?", to which Balin replied "I feel that even Sauron will not dare to come out from Barad-dur after seeing this", showing the units of his army... Glein saw at one point an army from Ered Luin going close, but it was fended off by an army from Breeland. And right at the time when he was wondering what was going on, the scouts reported that Ered Luin and Breeland were at war. The Breelanders managed to fend off the Dwarfs without battle, however few believed that the Breelanders could fight against heavily armoured and armed Dwarfs. As Grindfarn was a competent smith and his weapons were of equal quality to any other Dwarven realm in Middle Earth. They also spotted Clanlord Gor himself, who was close to Mithlond. Grein immediately reported them to Khazad-dum. But when he just sent the messenger, Gurin got close to him and almost pulled him. The Dwarf was so upset, that at the beginning Glein could not understand what he was saying. "Excuse me, my Lord", Gurin said. "I don't know if I'm excited or feared. However, we found the entrance". "Of what?", Glein asked. "To the vault", was the answer. "Every Dwarven town or castle has a vault", Glein reacted a bit annoyed. "That's common sense". "But there is only one Vault", Gurin continued. "With the supposed riches of Beleriad. The ones that did not exist". Glein was left with the mouth open. It passed some time before he could speak. "The riches of Beleriad?..", he whispered. "How this can be possible?". "Even I cannot explain", Gurin said. "But if I'm right, then there are immense riches there, that have been saved from the towns of Old Days in Beleriad. The Dwarfs that inhabited managed to transfer quite an amount there before the destruction of Beleriad. But they say that a Blarog is there, guarding those riches". "A Balrog?", Glein said. "Another Balrog? How many of them managed to survive?". "Let's hope that he's the last one", Gurin said. "Shall we begin to restore the Vault? I say yes, but beware of the danger!". Glein stayed silent for a moment. "Wait a minute!", he said to the messenger before he left. "I have to add something for the King. Begin to restore the Vault". Both Gurin and the messenger nodded in agreement and Gurin left running.
Thanks for the shout-out 👍 I learned modding by myself over the last year or so. Ive played the game for years but I only really started modding recently. I watched a modding series from Galu to learn most of it. You'll make mistakes, but you learn the more you do. I'm currently working on getting some Ered luin units in to the campaign as recruitable options. Hopefully it should work without clonking out all the files ^^
Mod looks beautiful but they ruined the gameplay mechanic its just insane to wait 20 turns for a farm and not be able to make eco beacuse of the corruption scrip not let you earn more than 20k wtf??!
Your a little in the late game for this and I'm way behind on the series but if you grab the sellswords whenever you see them you can use them as a front line to take the damage while your elites do the important work flanking and shooting. There a great unit to take the charge, better taking loses on them then your top front line units.
What a campaign, I commend your tenacity to first scrap your way up from extremely humble beginnings and then managing to unify the empire and even kick Sauron off his pedestal.
Aye, THAT is a literal doomstack of 2 376 dwarves with a casual 17 000 upkeep per turn. True beauty still exists in Middle Earth, clad in Mithril and slowly stomping over absolutely any adversary.
I wonder if you could retrain the rohan merc cav you can get at Erui with the right building. I just like the idea of the dwarves having some Rohan units,as they probably hate the orcs as much as the Dwarves do.
Hello, my friend. The wrath itself is unleashed... Balin's army is so powerful, that I don't think that there can be any army in Middle Earth to challenge it - perhaps the Gundabad doomstack, but against so many AP units, I doubt. Balin should secure Framsburg and Eorlstone, so as to complete the realm and unite with Oin, before marching on Burzakul. Think well where the new general would go - I would send him in Framsburg, along with some of the garrison of Maethelburg, so as to keep a watch from Wrakyaburg, the only town reamining in the hands of the Snow Orcs. I'm pretty confident that you'll finish the Goblins in Nochva Rhaglaw and I suggest that you sell the town to the Dunedain, so as to have them in a good and united front against Angmar. This army should return and smash every rebel, aka ex-Goblin, army on its road back, before getting retrained in Cameth Brinn and High Pass to go against Angmar from its south border in due time. I agree with an attack against Isenguard with Durin, however I think that an elite army should also go for Oin as well, exactly because OIn deserves it for all the things he has done in this campaign. Durin can become the governor of Isenguard, unless you give this post to another general, but Balin and Oin, with the best of the best at their armies, shall clash with Angmar and Ered Luin. But this has to wait until the completion of the destruction of Gundabad and the Goblins. And now, let's see what Dain responds to Balin in his letter about the situation in Ered Luin: To King Balin, Lord of Khazad-dum, The news that come from the Misty Mountains are so good, that my duty is to congratulate you for your success. Your wins in the battles against the Goblins of Moria and now against the Orcs of Gundabad are a joyce for us here in Erebor and in the Iron Hills, so much that our armies are to march out following your example. Our situation is not very good, as we must support our allies of Dale and Dorwinion in their titanic fight against the Dragon of Rhun. The Easterlings are experienced in making war, well armed and organised and pose a very big threat. For this reason the diminishing of Gundabad is great news for us - and as a King to a King, I thank you greatly for this help. For your fights and battles, since your expedition started from Erebor, I, King Dain II of the Longbeards, declare officially that the realm of Khazad-dum will take all the line of the Misty Mountains, as well as the west bank of the Anduin and every town that is currently in the hands of the Orcs of Gundabad. The Kingdom of Khazad-dum will have its own authorities and lordship, as King Balin has set, as well as its own laws, which come from the tradition that all the Dwarfs follow everywhere in Middle Earth. Should King Balin wishes to expand his realm upon the neighbouring lands of Angmar, he has the permission and high authority to do so. King Balin has the authority to make any deals with Beorn and every other leader of the Free Peoples on his behalf and his words will be of the supreme acceptance of me, as I, King Dain II of all the Longbeards, continue to hold the High Kingship of all the Dwarven kingdoms of Middle Earth and the Kingdom of Khazad-dum is under the high protection of the Kingdom of Erebor. And now, we come to the very subject that King Balin wants my opinion. I cannot help but say that this was a very difficult decision to make and the High Council was arguing for many days about the proper action. In the end, the ambassadors of the clans Ered Luin left the High Council - in contrast, the ambassador that King Balin has in the Council stayed loyal and firm to it - and this can mean only one thing: war. Lord Elrond also contacted the Council, him expressing his sadness about the actions of Gridfarn and his cast, of whom the Council received a full report and we all agreed in this condamnation without haste. However, taking the arms and attacking Ered Luin is not in my wishes, as I am not the one who will bear the disgrace of breaking the armistice among all Dwarven realms, as it is on the Code of Durin. And my councel to the dear friend King of Khazad-dum, in answer to his very polite and appreciated question, is to do the same: neither me nor King Balin are allowed to attack our kin in a civil war, that will bring only disaster and will please only Sauron. Because if we are to attack first, this will bring all of the Dwarfs of Ered Luin under Gridfarn's banner and under the influence of the self-proclaimed faction of the Grimborn and their lies. Yes, it's true and in Erebor we know well that the nightmare of old, this faction named "Grimborn" has risen again in Ered Luin and they have taken the control of our western realm. Lord Elrond and Lady Galadriel, who are touched by the treacherous actions of Gridfarn's minions, also advise us not to be the first that attack, in order to gather the support of our kin who are oppressed by Grindfarn and gain their support when the inevitable war will begin. Let him attack first, but prepare your defenses. Then, we'll have the necessary legitimacy to strike back. This is my answer and I really hope that my beloved companion and brother King Balin will consider. With best wishes, as a King to a King, King Dain II of the Longbeard Clan in Erebor and the Iron Hills.
having a dual settlement earning over 18K is crazy work keep up the great content and please can you rename Zagh Kala to Kârak Nógorod meaning new Nogorod in honour of the dwarven city of the first age😀
