Oh, this MIDI is so epic, and it sounds pretty darn good here! I was curious if this was played back using a physical SC-88 module or via soundfont. I've been trying to find a good SC-88 soundfont but haven't had any luck yet. The closest one I found didn't quite sample the guitars correctly, as evidenced when I tried using it to play this MIDI.

So it's basically like a merge between the DOS version with the maps from the console and Mac ports, plus Laz Rojas's "Halten Sie" mod. Hopefully this helps. And @tankermottind, great work, been blazing through this. The maps are quite predictable and easier compared to the original DOS but it is still fun, they give you a ton of ammo so you can use the chaingun constantly blasting.

Damn. I was hoping they replaced the horrible sound effect when searching for secret doors, especially considering it's probably the most heard sound in the game.
