Awesome vlog I just sailed on Wonder in April and I am longing to go back she's a great ship. I just want to say thank you for sharing your family's adventures with us. Those sliding balcony doors the handle has to face up for the door to slide. Point the handle down to lock it. You had it in the half way position which is hard to open because the door starts to snug up to the frame for the rubber seals to be sealed. I bet you figured it out after this video though. 😊
I got curious and googled it... Here's what I found... Cruise ship anchors are usually between 10-20 feet in length and weigh between 10 and 20 US tons.
Hello ! Hope you are doing well ! I just wanted to stop by and thank you for sharing your adventures on this cruise. I particularly found this vlogs really helpful as I’m doing this exact itinerary next year as my very first cruise ever so I need as many tips and advices as possible ! Btw, as I’m planning my cruise I wanted to know what are the different themes of each night at the MDR , is there any chance you can help with this ?
I believe there's a very limited "crew" that maintain the island. Most of the bartenders and people working the island (towel stations, etc) come from each ship and have a duty on the island that day that they are docked there.
In terms of the CocoCay water park? We can't make a recommendation there as we've never purchased it or have been inside the water park on the island. We just have enjoyed the pool and beach at CocoCay. Our kids have gotten their fill of slides on the ship.

I have a question for your wife. Thanks in advance. Did she notice if the public women’s restrooms have a hook on the inside of the stall doors? I have been on some of RC oasis ships that do not have them. I find it frustrating when I need to hang my bag and no hooks are available. I am trying not to overpack for my next cruise on Wonder very soon. I truly appreciate your informative vlogs. All of the tips and info that you suddenly remember while taking us along are total gems to me. Most of the vloggers I have watched through the years forget to tell/remind us of all this stuff. Please don’t change your style. PS You and your wife are awesome parents. Your children are truly blessed. But especially you dad, you are the laid back go with the flow kind of dad I wish I had had. I tried to be the same kind of mom to my (now 31 year old) daughter as you both are to your children. Keep bringing us all of your informative beginnings to ends vlogs. Really appreciated the parking vlogs too!

It's so tough to not over pack. It seems like I always do. In terms of your restroom question Amy says she doesn't recall if there are hooks or not to tell you the truth. Just looked it up. Amy paid $329 for the daybed, but she got that price really early, almost a year before we sailed. By the time we sailed the daybeds were about $500. The price never went lower after she initially booked it.
it all just depends on where you want to go. if you’re going from forward on the ship all the way to the aft it’s a good distance. After all, Wonder is just about 4 football fields long!
Watching all of your videos and YES!! Please do a video about cameras and filming stuff. I’m not necessarily looking to be a RU-vidr, but we are going on our first family cruise next May and I want to get some good footage. Not sure if I should get a go pro or something else. Costco has the 11 for a decent price. I want something pretty sturdy and can get wet. Would love to snorkel and try and get some good shots at cococay.
I'm not even sure where to start 😉 For the record I'm certainly no expert but even since I shot that video things have advanced. I now also have a Dji Pocket Osmo 3 which is outstanding for low light. Although it really hates the LED lights in the MDR (still haven't figured that one out yet). The down side is the Pocket Osmo is not waterproof at all. In fact I didn't and won't even take out in sandy situations (left it on the ship at CocoCay). A GoPro is solid but in low light they struggle (we still use the 11 but the 12 I hear has the same issues - it's related to hyper smooth) . You can change settings but it's still a bit of a struggle for the camera. In bright sunshine, a GoPro is great. I'd be tempted to look at the Osmo action as well. It's kind of a situation of "having the right tool for the right job".

You have a love of cruising just like me. I'm really enjoying your video. We were on the Symphony sailing back to back with our adult son and saw the same rocket launch from the Symphony. We also had two bump out cabins on deck 12. Our first week. I should buy gimbal for my camera. You would love to sail back to back so you could film the empty ship. Looking forward to watching more of your channel. I posted a few videos on you tube.

Thanks for the video. Brings back memories. Oh. The tip about the luggage being delivered to the GENERAL area of your room was good. My last cruise I had an Owner's suite and I found my bag was about four doors down. I thought for the hoity toity suite guests at least would have their bags delivered next to their rooms. Go figure.
I got stuck. Like stopped completely. Amy said she was really slow. But moved. The kids didn’t seem to have a problem. I’m referencing the blue slide. The orange “bowl” slide wasn’t really too much of an issue.
I love Perkin’s Cove! We live in Massachusetts and go to York Beach a lot for vacations and day trips throughout summer. Looks like you guys had an awesome day at Coco Cay!
Great video! I will be sailing on my first Oasis class ship, Utopia, in October and it will be my first time leaving out of Port Canaveral. This video has added to my excitement. Thank you for sharing.

Love the video! Were gonna be on wonder in November. we cant wait. Its going to be our first Oasis class ship as well. BTW, when you said you felt bad about missing out on getting the model ship when you were on Mariner, I felt that in my soul! lol. I literally had the exact same issue. I missed out on the same model on that ship as well. I posted about it on the Mariner Galveston FB page and someone on board offered to get it for me and ship it to my house. I sent them the money on Venmo and the ship showed up at my house a week later. It was so worth it to cure my FOMO lol. I just subscribed to see day 2! Hopefully you can give us a follow back as were a new channel and just starting out with our first Vlogged adventure in Nov! Thank you!

Is it coincidence 36:00 or does it look like your head is under the party hat in the mirror? Also when you talk about Giovanni's at 40:20, I had one of my best meals at Giovanni's on Allure. But Giovanni's on Utopia is different. It's more of a bistro that serves pizza and light food, not a full restaurant like on the other Oasis ships.
