Hey man, you’ve been doing a excellent job, I’ve been watching a lot of videos and your by far is the most professional and direct. Keep up the good work.
Hello, thank you for this video, well demonstrated. I have a question: is the tuning via the RMP the standard airbus way to do it? Is there another method to track radial /perform a DME arc on the A320? Thank you!
Oh I love how you turn on the Wing lights for pretty much every departure. That's exactly how most American carriers do it and also makes for a more enjoyable wing-view.
Oh now I see the remaining portion of Cockpit prep checklist (after the step for FMS...prep" and continuing at the glareshield ... is all finished on the Departure Briefing video. Got it.
Hi, hope you are keeping well. We basically switch off the FD because beyond your Mapt, the fd guidance reverts to HDG/VS and would hold no real information for carrying out the approach. Hence we put the FDs off and put the Bird On to use it as a reference to align with the RWY centerline and correct vertical path.
After turning 90 degrees to join the arc, afterward why can't you just watch for DME distance, if the DME distance is increasing, meaning you are flying away from the arc so you better start turn towards inside a bit vice versa or even easier way keep your VOR always 90 degree of your current heading eh . wouldn't this work out better ?
Yes definitely why not. But a few people find it hard to orient them selves correctly. Hence i mentioned this as a good reference to be situationally more aware of your position. DME would definitely be required for you to remain within the protected area of the arc.
