Why did Apple create their own navigation software you ask? Simple, because Google Maps is open source code and Apple’s iOS is not, and therefore more secure against viruses and hacking, that is also why some apps are not on Apple’s App Store, because they do not meet Apple’s higher security requirements for their proprietary operating system.
Try looking at them from the perspective of a Senior Citizen. As you age, hearing and vision decline. Also, mental acuity also declines. Apple is designed to be an assistive device. Google falls short here. Enjoy your teenage years. They are short.
Both apps, Waze too, make it almost impossible to adjust a route to your own preferred highways if they vary from the route designated by Google or Apple. Google maps will allow you to create a custom route on your desktop or laptop, but when you send it to your cell phone, it goes back to their planned route. Crazy.
It'sss simple !! States > Any of them; Rest of the World > Anything but Apple Maps (unless you decided to die in your car falling of the cliff, of course 💀😁)
1:30 - You aren't worthy to do this comparison. You are comparing how they look yet NOT showing the same view mode on Apple Maps, which is clean and looks essentially the same as Google. (But slightly better.) There are 4 different view modes: Explore, Driving, Transit, and Satellite. You can't pick the the default clean view on Google then compare it to the the "non-clean" one on Apple that's used for zoom-in while walking to figure out orientation by seeing buildings, etc. Apple attempts to replace any service Google uses, not to trap you. Apple Maps has no way of trapping you into an ecosystem. It's to protect you from Google spyware where 19MB of your private personal data is going in a database EVERY DAY and getting resold hundreds upon hundreds of times and analysed by super-AI to try to calculate corporate capture of you. This kinda throws in doubt whatever else you say in the video, sorry.

Be specific. I find the opposite to be true, especially you get more missed turns on Google because you didn't have enough warning to get over. See, that's a specific example. Here's another: 4 view modes easily selected. Switch in and out of 3D with a single button press, instead of staring blankly at a bunch of buttons whose icons are not intelligible. Here's another: "Traffic camera 50m ahead." OK there's 3 examples from me. Now it's your turn TO BE SPECIFIC.
If you’re going to compare two items, stick to apples versus apples. Showing a map of the center of Paris (?) on one product and a street in Lenexa Kansas (?) on the other is no help. Show us the exact same spot at the exact same scale on each so we can decide. You offer opinions of liking Google better, but no definitive examples to show us why. I’m not convinced you even gave Apple Maps more than a cursory glance and decided your familiar Google was better in every way and then spent the whole video telling us so.
