You know what would be great?! An hour or so long video of this song repeated so I can listen to it while killing priests in Grim Dawn video game!! It would be because most enemies aren't priests but then again lol what if WHAT IF they were all priests before they damaged their brain when all the ones called warriors (and any not priest) did head spins with merely a paper helmet, so they don't have the intelligence needed to understand how to cast healing spells anymore!! I love that theory!!🤣😂💩👀😱
@@obsolettersart208 Pois é.. Tive o prazer de ver uma vez o mesmo ao vivo, foi de grande importância, algo muito pessoal, pois considero muito Candlemass com os vocais do Marcolin obviamente!
Fuck... I keep watching Kev sing his Dad's tunes and he's got the tone , power and all the nuances .. his Vibrato isn't as prominent but he's hitting those notes head fucking on..not easy to do
I have only just discovered Candlemass. Why isn't Messiah as recognised as other metal vocalists??? I'd put him up there with Dickinson, Halford and Dio!
@@toxogandhi YES exactly. His technique is actually very fucking amazing. I mean he needs to be in Opera. I wonder who was his teacher. He sings with Belcanto techniques. Hes on another level of vocals. The rest of the band of candlemass are fucking beasts aswell. The guitarist aint no van halen or satriani. But hes got nothing and i mean NOTHING to fucking hang his head about. He is a riff writing fucking machine; and his solos are other worldly. I remember hearing them back in March off of another video that was ahout metal genres and that was one of the few times a song didnt just hit me but grabbed my fucking heart. Hearing Mourners Lament, call me cheesy or gay, made me cry hard. It was so heartfelt. I never knew having these operatic techniques and metal would work but it has proved to be just as heartfelt and powerful as screaming. I don't understand why this band isn't sought after. Why aren't people listing them as one of the greatest metal bands to ever have lived? Why isn't this messiah marcolin fellow world famous? He is *THE* greatest metal vocalist ever. I mean no respect to Dio, Halford, or Dickenson. I know my shitty pipes pale in comparison to their powerful ass voices. But technically, Messiah Marcolin *IS* the best vocalist in heavy metal history. Unless another classicslly trained singer enfuses his/her style with metal. We will never get a band as magical as candlemass ever again.
@@nickdavis965 I've never even heard another band Messiah was in that just... "did" it for me like Nightfall through Ancient Dreams. His return album, the eponymous one, had some good tunes too. I think that's probably an unpopular opinion, but Witches, Black Dwarf, and The Day and the Night, off the top of my head, showed that he's still got it. Messiah era riffs were so unique. They almost sounded like thrash riffs, but slow. I've only found that in one other band: Sorcerer. They're not Messiah era Candlemass, but they're pretty legit. And if you are a big fan of doomy, dark riffs like those, do yourself a favor. Listen to a band called Anacrusis. It has elements of thrash and even early death. Doesn't really stick to one genre, but man, they're great. No operatic vocals though, sadly. They're more thrash and death, with some super cool screams that my husband's band can perfectly emulate. Anyway, Candlemass is a unique, lightning in a bottle band, I think. I've searched the doom genre far and wide to find something close, but Sorcerer is the best I've found and they have their bad moments for sure.
La cara del señor Botarro es el reflejo del sentir de un fan que cumple un sueño, personalmente, y como fan de Candlemass pude imaginarme lo que debe haber sentido en ese momento. Tremendo!
+RrVvEeNn It's Swedish. And it's not an idiom, it's a language. I think Spanish is your first language. En inglés, la palabra IDIOM significa "expresión coloquial". Para decir IDIOMA se dice "Language". Saludos!
Wish Kevin liked to sing more. He's got the gift, no doubt. A little more practice, and I'd bet they could have the best selling album/tour in VR's history. A LOT of people would love to hear what Kevin could do with Carl's legacy of talent.
Hey Sandy! always wanted to say we love you in Chicago too! you guys are very refreshing to listen to in light of all the crap on the radio these days!
