Hi! My name is Alessio, I am a CG and a traditional animator, I also love drawing and character design. I use my channel to upload my demo reels and progression videos of my working process.
@@berengerdietiker22never seen this thread 😅 well 2d is coming back. Hopefully the trend is helping and personally I feel that people are getting a bit bored by 3d itself. I could make a video about it
@@tvdecolanoob1053sorry! I could not see your question because it was put into the reply box. Of course! Preston Blair book is awesome! I highly recommend the classics: animator's survival kit by Richard Williams and the Illusion of Life by Frank and Ollie. Great awesome books
@@sunsetanimator4187 each shot has a different level of complexity also it really depends on the characters and the actions involved. I guess the ones that took me longer were the Klaus last shot because the character is very complicated and the Robin Hood one because it is such a famous character and it really has to be drawn perfectly in order to stay on model. Also both of the characters were not designed by me which of course is more difficult. Staying on model by following a drawing style different from yours is always pretty challenging but that is part of the job.
Hi there! I'm a student studying computer animation and I love the video you submitted to 11 second club animation mentor. It looks really professional. Are you a student as well? Or are you already working in the industry?
Hey there! Is quite easy really! from hypershade in Maya, I assigned a simple surface shader to the character and aplly the textures to it. For the eyes I used the same material but I put a ramp map black to white in order to have a kind of glow. I don't remember very well XD
Hi dndrmr! thanks! I've assigned a simple surface shader from #autodeskmaya to Stewart and placed the texture map in the OutColor. Pretty easy ;) The render time per frame It's about 3 sec.
