I thought it would be fun to document things that happen in my life; kinda like a digital diary! You're welcome to tag along with me in my crazy world :)
first you have to apply to ncat's student housing then for housing selection you can find it under the apartment tab. In that tab there's options for other ncat apartment options along with the one I selected
Very entertaining! Yeah, when I was a student at A & T our basketball team had a bench clearing brawl with Central. I remember leaving the library ( Edward Fort Research Center now) and seeing mass hysteria from Cooper up to Corbett.
Hey Taylor thanks for sharing... Is the 50lbs limit for the airline or for the ship. Are you restricted to a certain number of bags and weight to take on board? Also how did you do on weight coming back and did you have enough snakcs 😂
The 50lbs limit was for the airline. Semester at sea also has a baggage limit of 2 checked bags, a carry-on, and a personal item. However, some students bought more luggage towards the end of the voyage to fit souvenirs that they bought throughout the voyage. And I definitely had more than enough snacks on the ship 😂 I ended up having left overs and gave some away to friends. Towards the end of the voyage, my bags were still within the 50llbs limit for airlines due to having space for souvinirs after eating/giving away my snacks!
@taylors-world thank you for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated. My daughter has her eye in NCAT and wants to do Semester at see... so we certainly love your channel and a peek into your world 🌎.
@@taylors-world Thank you so much for all your tips...this video has been so amazing! Quick question...was your interview really only a minute long? That seems so short lol
@@davidmiddleton5395 Congrats! Classes for me are very manageable but all majors are different. My friends who are chem majors have more rigorous classes compared to my journalism classes
Unfortunately no but I have a lot of friends that are other stem majors. I feel like my stem major friends all have had similar experiences in terms of having more rigorous courses. However, they seem to be doing fine also doing honors courses as well @@davidmiddleton5395
I heard that honors students get first dibs on scheduling classes and housing. 1. With that said, does honors upperclassmen get guaranteed housing on campus? 2. Is housing guarenteed for people who are on full rides? 3. Are there shuttles for some off campus housing?
1. Sadly no, after you’re no longer a freshman housing is up in the air. Before choosing your housing you have to apply for housing with everyone else. If the university no longer has housing available, you will not get housing even if you’re a honors student. 2. I would like to hope so but I am unsure how housing works for full ride student. 3. Yes there are shuttles for off campus housing that are with the school. I’m currently making a video on how I do transportation living in A&T off campus apartments with no car
Hey, Are you aware that there is a way to get from Greensboro to Charlotte on something called the Flixbus? If so, do you and your friends do that sometimes? It's legit. My son has caught it a couple of times. The prices are inexpensive. It works just like the airlines. The further out you book the cheaper it is. Weekends are more expensive than weekdays and of course holidays are more expensive. Spend the day or get a hotel or Airbnb and spend the weekend.
@@homeschoolhopeful1023 I was not aware of that but I typically go to the raligh duram airpot since a family friend lives close by and is able to pick me up and take me there
@@taylors-world Oh okay. I was referring using the Flixbus when you and your friends want to go to Charlotte to hangout and do fun stuff. Y'all could catch it in the morning and come back that night or make it an overnight trip or a weekend trip. I look forward to seeing your future videos.
Hi it was with the company Morocco Roadtrips! They’ve worked with SAS students in the past so they’re great when it comes to working with unforeseen circumstances
Taylor I'm very happy & proud you are back at A&T!!!! Your drive from Raleigh to Greensboro you passed by my home town - Hillsborough, NC!!!! Enjoy your Apartment Adventure with your prior roommate!!!! Aggie Pride!!! Aggies Do!!! The best decision I ever made!!!!
Here's the cost breakdown of everything I had to pay out of pocket! Tuition: $18,374.00 (my parents and grandparents mostly helped pay for this as this cost was around the cost they pay for my regular college tuition; inclued in tuition are the fuel fees & cabin cost) Travel accessories: $600 (new luggage and other travel gear that I bought for the trip) Medical costs pre-voyage: $297.35 (this includes vaccines and medications I needed for the trip) Visas: $262.24 (I had to get 2 visas for my voyage) Round Trip Flights: $1,382.66 (this is only flights for going to and leaving from the program) Field Programs: $4,044.00 (the money that I was gifted by people and from GoFundMe was used here) Personal expenses on voyage : $3,341.08 (total amount of money I spent on the ship and in-country)
OMG, this is so helpful!! We live in OKC and my daughter is heading to FSU next month and we are flying SWA. We’re using the blue moving bags (like IKEA but from Amazon) as checked luggage. Any tips or things we need to know for that?
I’m glad my video was helpful! Another thing that o forgot to mention in my video was getting some type of luggage tracker or apple tag (especially if you have a layover!). A luggage tracker has been helpful for me when my luggage was lost in the past! They also just made me feel secure knowing that I knew where my bags were at all times!
Awesome Taylor!!!! It bring back memories of my son going to Morehouse College in Atlanta from Nashville, TN. My tip is to leave the "stuff" in storage near the college during the summer months!!!! No more over loading the car with unnessary items!!! AGGIE PRIDE!!!!
My favorite food to eat on the ship was the bread rolls and surprisingly the rice 😂 (the rice was sooo good for some reason) and then I loved eating the coffee cake for desert
I am glad you are taking care of yourself first. Even though my daughter chose to attend another school I enjoy watching your videos. You remind me of her. Welcome back! I wish more Young Adults would take their mental health serious.
