IF I had the money, I would have bought it. I'm slowly replacing our wanna-be-wood furniture with solid wood. I was blessed to find a CEO wooden desk (3'x5') for $20 ~and~ a beautiful sideboard buffet for $80 at our local Salvation Army. Both are in excellent condition with drawers opening and closing smoothly, no nasty odor, and beautiful cherry (sideboard) and mahogany (desk) finishes. All I had to do with both was vacuum inside & bottoms and wipe them down inside and out with my favorite all-purpose cleaner ... vinegar in a spray bottle with a clean, soft cloth. I plan on frequenting this particular store! 😉
Wow! 🥳🥳 Great finds and great prices too! I think the best is that you they just required cleaning. It’s been a lot harder to find things in that condition for a decent price.
@@Catmomma that color would be so pretty anywhere but I love the idea of it in a bathroom!! I think that brand makes wall paint but it’s pricey. Sherwin Williams has a very similar color called Ravishing Coral and you can get it at Lowes.
@@ima40schic to each their own! The new owner loves it!! 🥳🥳 Glad you love yours! Do you have it posted anywhere? I’d love to see it and comment positively because I know working on furniture is a lot of work and I love supporting others!
@@LuckyFurnitureandDesignCo I apologize.. I didn't mean to sound like a Karen! I'm pretty sure I was hangry at the moment. I really did hate that peach paint, but I had jobs like that too. Customer loved it, and I didn't. I once had to paint an antique table purple. :( I retired, all my stuff was on facebook pages and they booted me so I lost everything. I would love to get my hands on one of those vanities again. I sold the one I stripped a long time ago. :)
Love this one! What a find. I asked Santa to bring me a bissell little green machine but so far no luck… he needs to watch this! Also, your hair looks great! I need to restor-a-finish our banged up coffee table… is that enough to protect it or would it need some kind of sealing on top since it’s a high use surface? Can’t wait for the next video!
Thank you! Just tell Pauline to buy one and you can borrow hers--she loved using it! :) The makers of Restor-a-finish recommend using Feed n Wax to protect the finish after you apply Restor-a-finish. I do usually use that on furniture, but it might depend on the finish of the coffee table and if you think the wax would absorb. Thank you for watching!! www.howardproducts.com/product/feed-n-wax-wood-polish-and-conditioner/
@@LuckyFurnitureandDesignCo I was corrected several times when we moved to Germany. I don't think I ever really got it right. Sounds like a combination between "shrank" and "shrunk" when they say it. 🙃👍
The whole idea of having a self-propelled function is that you use it 100% of the time. Both the man and the woman run the Toro WITHOUT USING it, although he does do a second pass, with self-propel activated. She doesn't use it, and we wonder if he ever even told her about it.
Excellent point! It was an oversight that Kristie didn’t test the self-propelled. It definitely would have made for a much easier mowing experience. Thanks for watching!
Prices have definitely gone up on everything including furniture. That’s why I was so excited to see the 50% sale! The Drexel side table was just $6 and the Ethan Allen mirror was $3!!
I love what you did with this piece! It would be a fun surprise to have lined the drawers with the same accent paper! A single gold knob would be cute in the center of each drawer as well.
@@brittanymartin1251 Thank you so much! Great ideas! If I was keeping the piece I would definitely line the drawers with that paper, I love the design so much!
Yes! I love using peel and stick wallpaper on furniture and it is definitely durable, though I do still seal it with Mod Podge or a topcoat. The wrapping paper worked well for this one because I could buy a single sheet for $5 instead a large roll of wallpaper for a lot more. Definitely a good budget friendly option!
I got an antique dresser (~30 yrs ago) that had been used in a mechanic’s garage/shop for years. It was a solid piece, but covered with random paint swatches. I couldn’t get all the paint swatches removed (some were lead paint maybe ?), so I painted it entirely black, and sanded a few edges to reveal the natural wood. I’m still using it, and still love the color, but black definitely shows dust. 😅
