Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Even your slow was pretty fast. Wow. I hadn't seen a top to bottom run of that until now, only seeing the rock garden stuff, where I was standing. Your run through the rock garden was the second cleanest, with only Luke managing to stay on his board the whole time.
F’ing incredible focus, determination, and skill. You could just feel you were in such the flow state right from the beginning of the race. Super fun to watch this run. It’s incredible how fast you can ride down mountain bike trails. 🎉
Love it! I think I only heard haptic feedback one time? Does that mean the S Series really has that much juice that you wouldn’t be bouncing off the limiter even for a hardcore race?
@@ParkerAWade I was pacing myself somewhat conservatively this race since I was able to get ahead early. The GTS is a beast, though. Way more power than previous models!
FM needs to build their own track with more passing lanes, it doesn't have to be that big if it's a loop. There's little to no chance to pass on this track
I feel it's kind of unfair when the person in front pretty much block the passing lane, it's almost impossible to pass on the single track. If the person infant falls the person behind will fall on them. There must be a better way! maybe make a few sections of the track that is 3 person wide giving chances to pass.
@@turningmagnets I would go a far as saying it’s not really a race unless there are a few passing opportunities on the track. You guys are in the team so you have to make it a Onewheel track rule for a must have.
Yeah the nose really drops around those burms for sure! So the lower breaking helps for burms too austen or does it help the tail from dragging as much? Scot is always saying it helps tail drag but ive never felt much a difference when i lower my breaking
Nose up .6 degrees going down hill at 25 MPH with no gradient tracking sounds SCARY. This is not what I expected, glad you put this out there so we can all learn!
Lololol, that is hilarious, that dude does not belong out on the trail, just for the fact he was rude and ignored you, not that he is also terrible and riding 2 mph bahah
Or maybe im leaned forward on accident.. idk but it sucks, and my collar isnt even a year healed yet and def cant eat it on this shoulder lol. So guess il just keep hitting the normal drops i always hit but start real slow and figure out what im doing wrong before i send it again like normal idk
Only thing i can think of is subconciously since im still a bit scared of the whole foothold thing im like angling the board on accident in the air u know and maybe since the board is angled its spinning the wheel backwards so when i land it cant keep me balanced and nose dipping like crazy?
Hey Austen, hey man when u started riding footholds did u have a problem on the landings when u hit semi smallish drops? Like 4 times now when i land im getting huge nose dips and i frickin ate it last time, nosediving off a drop sucks lol. What u think am i doing wrong?
Where is that at mercedes? U think its on the way to wisconsin, or on the way back from arkansas? Im guna be road trippin for Winman so that looks like an awesome place to explore om the trip
@@turningmagnets ohhh sweet! Im guna do a huge loop when i go to winman so il have to stop there on my way back after i go to arkansas, thanks, it looks like a beautiful place
@@turningmagnets Yeah should be pretty sweet! Only been ridin for like 6ish months technically since i shattered my collar in spetember, so shredfest is the only race ive been too, so figured id go to passion play right after winman u know. But yea see yall there! Thanks for the info
If the gts could really make it up that hill at 1% then why’s it been radio silence for 6 months since max send sent the invitation to have Neil and Austin to all go together and see what’s really going on
@@tybransford4079 climbing the hill at 1% wasn't our objective. Max said the GT climbs better than the GTS and we proved that wrong. We were surprised at that board climbing at 1% but that is not the point. Battery percentages are estimated based on voltage of all cells. It's not very precise so it is possible that my 1% is similar to your 8% or the next guys 5%.
@@turningmagnets seems like you’re backtracking there. Why name the video like you did if that’s not the objective. Also sidestepping the question of why you haven’t went with max send to prove that an unmodified gts can make it up that hill lol I’m willing to bet 100$ you can’t do that on any unmodified gts at even 100% battery any better than max. He clearly wasn’t “stomping the nose into the ground” 😂
Bs for sure. No way the gts was at 1% not even close. Just had a new gts give out on me at 8% battery going up a 25% steady grade and im only weighing like 155 soaking wet. Good try factory team but the lies only last so long 👎
