If only this was true of ALL Public Pretenders. If it was, they'd all be out of a job, right? They're on the same payroll as the Prosecutor, the DA, the Judge, AND the Cops, not to mention everyone in Corrections, Parole, Probation, etc. with the latter being the major source of revenue, keeping them all in a paycheck, a great benefit package, and last but not least, Qualified Immunity!! (or Judiciary Immunity). In business to stay in business.
The Department of Corrections is the biggest trap you can get anything that you can get on the street inside the fence and walls you just pay double triple sometimes quadruple but you can get anything
Just because you are sent to prison does it mean you can't change you're not going to change unless you want to change it doesn't matter if you're forced to do it or not if you're not ready you're not ready they send you to the odrc it's your option to enroll into the programs to change your self

It would be great if we could all treat this like the medical concern that it is, and offer treatment instead of threatening peoples mothers with prison for having a problem, or putting that womans son in harms way in order to do the officers jobs for them. How is any of that helping her, or you? In Norway you get treatment, therapy, safe rooms, and take-home naloxone. This is a medical issue, not a criminal case. You cannot solve problems this way. Prisons are not treatment centers.
I always heard of this happening to some people that are known drug users but I always thought it could only help THEIR own charges. That is fucked up they can try to use your loved ones charges to coax you into helping with the drug bust. Doesn't even sound legal.

Because doctors wrote scrips for people so they wouldn’t lose patients or get sued. People actually would threaten lawsuits if they didn’t get drugs. Those drugs are highly addictive. Now no one makes you take the drugs it’s just your lack of judgement so let’s blame others
