China told our EU politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic, agriculture or industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China....:-( China also banned all kind of synthetic fuels or hydrogen combustion. Because these are not energy efficient)
I love these cars. When racing was a special type of sport that was fun to do and fun to watch. It's all together different today. Wish we had this stuff in America. This type of racing is about the love of it and NOT CRASHING. America is different. We crash a lot and don't care. Most Americans love a good crash up more than a good race. Thanks guys for something different and good.
That is quite an impressive gathering of automobiles. From the Amilcar, to the supercharged MG PA, MG 18/80 Mk2 Carlton Coupe de Ville, Lagondas, etc. Some spectacle for what seems like nothing more than an informal "Cars and Coffee" type of affair. I'm quite jealous.
O yes, haha, I remember, most of the conversations I had with people tended to be about what terrible rot boxes they were. I was really surprised with how much interest it got.
Thats my Metro at 4:04, I'm the one in the Grey shirt. It was featured in Classic Car Weekly and Iv'e just found it here. Not bad with this being the first show Iv'e taken it too. The first of many I hope.
Today's on in Reading was fabulous, the day was dry and cold but it didnt dampen our spirits and the local radio DJ was fabulous, we all got Sainsburys pancake kit which contained a big bag of pancake batter mix and a lemon. it was a big shame the sun wasn't out it would like much brighter.
At 0:21 that is the heart of what MG should be, light, racy just standing still, almost a 4 wheel motorcycle :-), and the great shots of the Arnolt-MG, so rare to find pictures of those online, I so much would love to know if there is a registry of these beautiful coachbuilt little cars, Bertone's wonderful body on the classic MG chassis with the classic grill and a supercharger...pure art, :-)
