Wow! My Late Uncle Pte. John Henry Lavigne is buried there (Grave 15, Row A, Plot 9). I had a chance to visit and pay my respects at his grave in 2010, but I didn't know that they did this on every Christmas Eve - thanks for sharing this video - and our gratitude to all who continue this special honoring event.
As far as I know, most foreign military graves in the Netherlands are still being 'adopted' by families to remember the fallen soldiers. A grave gets adopted, and thereby the diseased soldier as well, so the maintenance and remembrance is a certainty. Thanks for your uncles sacrifice! Mooie impressie. Ga je aankomende zondag weer? Tussen 11.00 - 13,00 uur. Ik denk dat ik wel ga. Misschien zien we elkaar. Groet van Dave (CWO Dave op Facebook)
