Very nice review from an actual owner that uses the boat to its full capability! A few questions for you, Sportsman's boat just came into my radar as an option for my next boat, I really like the 322 bc the console is a bit bigger (easier for kids to have a nap or whatnot) but I do trailer it a lot just like you, ignoring the price difference would you prefer a 32' instead of the 30' considering the weight and size difference? also how well does these hulls handle 3'-5' chops? have you had any issues with the all digital switches? do you prefer it over the analogs? I've never own a boat with joystick so it's unfair for me to say one way or the other. I don't feel I need it for the way we operate the boat but I am sure there are others that have tight setups that are glad they do have it.
You my friend really know your shit,very obvious you have been around boats all your life. Is this awsome SPORTSMAN your charter boat. Or just for personal use. Really love the Sportsman line, if you do charter,where in the keys can ýou be found.And also wondered if there is a Sportsman dealer down there?. Thanks for the great walk through. I'm thinking of buying a 2016 247 platinum masters I think it's called? Wondering if you could tell me what price range it should be in? Spot lo k and powerpoles etc all the bells and whistles for 81000 with trailer
Was the trailer a custom build for the boat? I had a 2019 Sportsman 247 that was on a Venture Commander series trailer, the boat and trailer was totaled by a tornado. I have been thinking about getting another Sportsman 247 or a Sea Pro 248 bay. The one pro to the Sea Pro is the Ameratrail trailer they come on, Ameratrail don't list Sportsman as a boat they build trailers for. I thought about calling them to see if they will build a trailer for the Sportsman 247 that I could buy separate and them ship to my dealer. Just much easier as a dealer package deal.
Ameratrail makes trailers for Sportsman, I have one under my 227. Just depends one the dealership you go through, you can always buy your trailer from somewhere else if they don't.
@@jasonburkett4810 - Thanks. I priced another Sportsman 247, the only trailer they offered was Loadrite but I talked them into contacting Road King and pricing a trailer. Based on Ameratrail website, they build for several boat manufactures, Sportsman wasn't listed but figured they would do one as a custom build
