Great video with some very good tips. I’d just like to add if buying secondhand check for any cracks in the shower tray. These can be just hairline but are a major PITA to sort out…and expensive. Also, as you mentioned the ULEZ, be very wary if non compliant and over 3.5t. TfL charges £100 a day for euro 4 and 5…and £200 a day for euro 3 and below! A few years ago I uprated my MoHo from 3.5t to 4.2t and it was reasonably straightforward, pretty much just a paperwork issue. Once Mr Khan changed the LEZ/ULEZ rules I looked into downplating and it’s not a simple process. It’s not just a case of getting back down to 3.5t, you have to prove that you’ve got adequate payload so you need to get the van down to something like 2.8t. Couldn’t do it with mine as I had twin wheelbase with rear wheel drive , a very heavy van, I was surprised it was ever rated at 3.5t. Parted with it now but it was reluctant as it was such a good van
@@theonemotorhome We have a budget and we are looking at a 2 berth island bed configuration. Would prefer auto but not essential. An awning and bike racks would be nice to haves and also a separate shower. We like the look of the Bailey Adamo 75-4I but I am sure there are others. Shall I give you my email to discuss specifics? Any motorhomes with beds that come down so you don't need a ladder I as an older man and my partner is older, drop down beds great idea not practical for most pensioners
Really good video. One thing I’d emphasise is when in a potential van do a few role plays to get a feel how it would work. For example “bed time” - where’s the bedding, convert the bed, make the bed, go to loo, brush teeth, read in bed, get up for the loo, go back to bed, wake up, put it all way….is this okay as you will do it every day? Can do similar for cooking tea, quiet night in……
Hi Jonathon. I would like to pay you to do some research on my behalf. I live in Australia and retire and move to France in 2026. I will be buying a motorhome through a company who deals with Ex-Pats from other countries. I will need to place an order for a new motorhome by Easter 2025 if I want to take delivery by June 2026. Problem - sight unseen of any European/British motorhomes. Can I ask (remember - pay) you to compare two motorhomes for me and advise which you think would be most suitable/your opinion , if I give you two particular models to compare. Also wer so eine Heckgaragenklappe konstruiert und dann weit hinten noch die Kassettentoilette wo man sich jedes mal verrenken muss🤦♂️, der kann noch nie mit einem Camper unterwegs gewesen sein. Auch L-Sitzgruppen sind der größte Unsinn und untauglich zum Sitzen. Lieber eine richtige 2er Bank und den Tisch an der Wand montiert. So würde ich die unpraktische Kiste nie kaufen. Vielleicht sollten die Ingenieure mal selber damit Urlaub machen , dann merken sie mal was sie für einen Murks konstruieren.
Build quality is decent but I don't understand why every Carthago vehicle looks like my grandmother's livingroom based on the material and color choices. I think Niesmann set the new modern standard with the new Flair to be honest. I would really love to see that modern look in more of the luxury brands. We've been looking at a Flair but I would prefer something like a Cruiser 950 from Concorde but I'm having a hard time getting over the fact how 'old' the interiors look.
Gorgeous coach! Looks like marine kind of fittings. I wish it was sold in the US. Do these coaches only come with the grill or can you get a microwave?
This one I love. Bed up out of the way during the day but can come down far enough to get into at night if I drop the table. Three burners and a stove so can cook meat, two vegs, and bread at same time.decent size fridge/freezer.

Hiya, Most vans used to have a semi auto gearbox. Basically a manual gearbox with a little robot changing the gears for you. (Comformatic gearbox) With the conformatic box it has a noticable delay in between the gear change, this is when the clutch is engaded. However, a fully automatic is a lot like the modern cars, where you don't feel the gears change and it's also a lot smoother.
That's a good question. However, I work with people searching for a mh and charge them a finding fee. I negotiate the price for you as part of my service. Depending on which model, you can expect up to 5k (this is due to my relationship with the dealerships, so i am not sure what they would offer you as a customer)
