1 Question: Can RAM be upgraded to 8GB (2x4GB)? 1 Suggestion: Instead of HDD an SSD would have given a significant boost to this legend. I have this laptop still working, my first order direct from Dell over phone and credit card, no Flipkart or Amazon during those days. I am keeping it for sentimental reasons, my first significant purchase.
how do i find out what gpu i have on one of these computers. all its says is "microsoft basic display adaptor" in device manager and same thing is run and command prompt. some reason that doesnt feel right as i thought they only have that when it doesn't know wtf it has. even task manager says no gpu in performance tab. im not really to keen on opening it up and looking at it just to found out.
Hello Frank, sorry for the delayed response.. This AIO have very little GPU memory which is integrated and just enough to run the display/watch movies/play very very very less graphic demanding games. So, windows 10 has a built-in driver for running these things. Hence the name Microsoft Display Adaptor. You are trying to find the graphic adapter name in the correct place but as it's integrated graphics, you won't be able to find the name for this particular model. However if you go with a higher end model in this series you can find dedicated graphics... Hope this helps...
@@srtb hello thank you for responding. i have figured it out already sorta. i found out my gpu is a intel uhd graphics 620. not the best but it can run some minor games like ds2 pretty good. says my dedicated memory is 128 mb? something like that is it possible to increase that amount permanently. i have 31. something of shared memory. believe my total ram is 32 currently.
@@frankvaliquette6308 the graphics memory on this cannot be increased as far as I know unless done on the chip level and even that requires a bit of programming (which I have "0" knowledge of). But, shared graphics memory can be achieved if the PC was running IrisXE graphics. Hope this helps...
i also have the same laptop. i want to know that the stock RAM which was insterted is dual rank or single rank and the another ram 8gb that you have inserted now is what dual rank or single rank.
Thank you for your comment. The easiest way to find whether your RAM is running in single or dual channel is by using CPU-Z software. Search for the same in google. It's free to download and use
Hi. I have studio 1555 bought in 2009. is it possible to upgrade the RAM to 8 GB? Will the slot support 8 GB DDR4 Ram? Currently the laptop runs on 4GB DDR2 RAM (2GB in each slot). Please suggest.
Hello @2903Mohan, thank you for your comment. These are obsolete laptops you won't be able to upgrade them to DDR4. This laptop is limited to DDR2 with Max capacity of 4GB (2x2G) or (1x4G).
@@EternalBliss.Dell Studio 1557 is an upgraded version of this. HDD can be replaced with SSD as shown in the video. But, 1557 supports max 8GB DDR3 RAM instead of DDR2. I am not sure of the max RAM frequency. Need to check the product manual for that info. Hope this helps..
This model has a 256GB NVMe primary storage, where the OS is already installed. Hence, after installing a SATA SSD (as per the video) we need not install OS. Hope this help... And thank you for your comment
Hi, sorry for the delayed response. Haven't been able to give time to my channel lately coz of work. Asus has 3 or 4 V222 models and as far as I know, none of them support NVMe. You can check the official Asus website for more details.
Hi, sorry for the delayed response. Haven't been able to give time to my channel lately coz of work. Yes its the same for both models. #1 or #0 "+" screwdriver will do. Nothing specific. Only advise with respect to screwdriver is to use a magnetic one. That's it. Hope this helps
Hello there, may i ask did you also had a problem in connecting to the internet after you installed it? mine is showing X mark on it and no internet access did you found a solution? it seems that when i click Change adapter settings there is no option available
Thank you for your comment. It seems like a driver issue. But I haven't come across it. Try to install the network driver and check. Please let me know the result
my hp pavilion gaming laptop has one 8gb 3200mhz sodimm and now I want to add 8gb (3200mhz) to make 1×8 + 1×8 = 2×16. But am confused with (single rank, double rank, single memory, double memory ?) Which ram to take.
Thank you for your comment & please excudde me for late reply. Performance wise when we see things the more the merrier. Hence Dual Rank. So, single and dual rank ram's do not differ a lot in terms of pricing. So I suggest you go with Dual Rank and make sure that your inbuilt 8GB ram is also dual rank. Else its a waste purchasing. You can verify the same by checking physically as well. On the RAM sticker you'll see dual-rank RAM denoted as 2Rx, followed by the amount of memory in gigabytes (2Rx4 or 2Rx8). Hope this helps..
The support for 2.5" SSD is 2TB. You can go for any capacity according to your needs, choice or budget. As long as it doesn't cross 2TB. Please feel free to reply in case any other clarifications are required.
Will surely try and do that. My work schedule is not permitting me to spend time for my channel. Whenever I get the chance I will surely make it. Thank you for your love and support 🤗
Bro My laptop Hp pavilion gaming 15ec1050ax it already had samsung 3200mhz 8gb ram inbuilt then i added crucial 8gb 3200mhz ram in second slot .It doesn't show in system info it shows only 8gb but in Cpu Z application it shows i have successfully installed ram.Plz help bro it is only showing pre-installed 8gb in pc properties.
Thank you for your support. There are only 2 possibilities for this. 1. RAM not installed properly. 2. Faulty RAM. But the second case possibility is less coz if 2nd RAM is faulty system shouldn't have booted up. But there is possibility of both. Please check that and revert back.
@@fazilkhan_76 even it's single channel, it shouldn't affect RAM size. It will only affect RAM - CPU communication bandwidth. If it's single channel speed/bandwidth will be matched with the slowest RAM installed. But size will be shown in reference with all the installed RAM(s).
@@srtb then i removed inbuilt ram and inserted new crucial ram it works but when I insert 2 rams it doesn't show in pc properties but in cpuZ app it shows
Thank you for your comment. Do you mean dual frequency or dual channel? If frequency then: You can. Then again, both RAM's will work on the basis of lowest RAM frequency. Eg: You have installed a 3200 MHz RAM & another with a frequency of 2666. But it will work on 2666MHz. Hope this helps
Thank you for your comment. I think the model of that gaming laptop is 15-ec2075AX. And the answer to your question is YES. You can add it without any issue. Hope this helps...
Sir I have same.laptop i have upgraded ssd opening and boot speed is ok but there is a lag in performance, it has 4 gb ram , wil increasing ram will.help
@@mehraparth5666 Then increasing RAM will surely help. Make sure that the frequency of both the RAM matches. You can check in the same playlist regarding how to check RAM details or ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q4FcV-oMZ1o.html
@@jerseygiant428 has the disk been cleaned using clean command before formatting? If yes, you can use chkdsk /f command for the USB drive if that alse doesn't work you can try any 3rd party tool like partition wizard or aomei partition assistant etc
Personally I like crucial. You can go with Crucial MX 500 500GB. Same model was used in this video but capacity was 1TB. You can also go with any 2.5 inch SATA SSD which fits your budget. Hope this helps..
Does it matter if the brand we use for this i5 model you are working on. I have the same model, it has the 3200 mhz. Which brand you think it will be reliable? Thank you.
There are many reliable brands now in the market. This wasn't the case a few years earlier. Ans to Q1: Brand doesn't matter at all as long as specs aren't fake. Like on the sticker it printed 3200 MHz, but actually it's 2933 MHz. Ans to Q2: My opinion/ recommended brand is Crucial. Hope this helps...
AIO's are nothing but a laptop with a big screen. Most of the parts like CPU, GPU are soldered to the motherboard itself. If this was a desktop then it's a complete different scenario. The answer to your question: Technically speaking, Yes you can. Technical Advice: No, do not try to upgrade CPU or GPU
Thank you for your love and support.. This laptop comes with a 256GB NVME + 1TB HDD. Whichever you want to install, (NVME/SSD) you need to replace the existing NVMe or HDD respectively. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your support sir. The answer to your question is no. AIO / All in One's are just like a laptop with a big screen. If you want to upgrade any part which is directly soldered to the motherboard, then you need to replace the whole motherboard itself with the upgrade. There is a way to upgrade without replacing the motherboard but need to be very careful regarding de-soldering and soldering the parts and there is another question of compatibility.
