Tell that guy to shut up. The one that said, everybody cooking Ofe nsala with meat, they don't know what is Ofe nsala. As big as he dey, he no sabi talk. Ofe Nsala is our traditional soup and you can use meat, Fish... Goat meat is fine also. Using fish is a choice.. You can mix meat and fish. That man speaks Ahaba Language.. the papa.. And please, YOU PEOPLE SHOULD STOP CALLING Ofe Nsala White soup, Ofe Nsala doesn't have English name... You people should stop trying to belong where you are not wanted. Oyibo will not start calling their food Igbo name to please, You.. If people can not pronounce it, they should learn it.. We learned English language.

@omggiiirl2077
@omggiiirl2077 2 дня назад
Let's be clear Tamales are actually native American. But certain countries that do eat tamales do have some African influence such as Belize and and Puerto Rico. But Puerto Rico calls them pasteles. Mexican tamales are more closer to the authentic native native American recipe and so are Cherokee banaha. But the origin of the tamale itself is purely native American separate from Africa, and only converged after the Columbian exchange, when African and indigenous people started exchanging recipes and ingredients. Such as cassava, chili peppers, tomato, etc.

I am salivating copiously.. Very honestly my mouth is 'watering'.. I truly.. genuinely.. love okra.. in ALL "combinations.." If and when I will come to.. find myself in.. Nigeria.. I WILL determinedly do all I can and get to where this special.. and absolutely amazing dish is TRADITIONAL.. The wonderful lady's.. (cook's..) accent is very similar to that that can be found in North-Western Uganda.. (I'm from Central North..)..😇😇 Thank you so much for sharing.. Good health to all the team.. ÖAÖ

In Ukwuani in Delta State, we had 'iji-onah', a yellow yam in the late 1960s and early 1970s before people stopped cultivating it. I do not ever recall that onah had to be soaked overnight and cooked for 24 hours.
